Sergio de la Peña, the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs under President Trump, is considering a run next year for the Republican nomination for Governor.
Mr. de la Peña retired from the Army after serving 30 years. He born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico and raised near Roswell, New Mexico.
