The real question is whether or not Virginia’s victory program will be used to target Congressman Rob Wittman and former RNC chairman Ed Gillespie next.

What is absolutely clear, however, is that Donald Trump does not represent the conservative grassroots.

Donald Trump has accomplished something the establishment never could. His candidacy has irreparably divided the factions within the conservative movement.

Today, the only way to move forward is to let this debacle play out.

For those who find themselves trapped by idealism and political absolutism, this issue presents what I believe to be an irreconcilable challenge to the idea of an objective and ideologically pure political philosophy.

A legitimate movement seeks to meet injustice with justice. It does not tack on arbitrary and unrelated political or cultural agendas.

If we must engage in bloody primary battles (and I admit that maybe we must), we must also decide to come together afterwards. That may not happen this year, perhaps next year.
