Yesterday I went to my local Giant store for groceries. I was shocked at the number of empty shelves. I had hoped to make a salad to have with dinner last night. There were NO leafy greens of any kind, no lettuce, no spinach, no arugula, and no premade salads. The only fruits available were cherries (go figure!) and apples. As I continued around the store it got worse, no ground beef, no chicken, and only a couple of packages of pork. In diary, I found no cream or half and half of any kind, 8 empty shelves. If you want fresh orange juice you better hurry, only two bottles left. None of my favorite yogurts were available. I couldn’t get the spices I needed. Throughout the store, empty shelves on every aisle. According to the meat manager, they continue to order food but no trucks arrive.
Today I learn on Zerohedge.com that the problem of empty grocery stores is country-wide, coast to coast, Pennsylvania, Virginia (numerous locations), Wisconsin, and California, among many others. (See the link for photos.)
#BareShelvesBiden has been trending on Twitter for the last 24 hours. Broken links in the supply chain are not being remedied, regardless of what Biden claims.
Before venturing out to the grocery store I suggest you call first and ask if they have had any truck deliveries recently. If not, save yourself the bother and head to a restaurant, assuming they still have food.
