State Senator Bryce Reeves

Bryce Reeves drops out of Senate race

written by Jeanine Martin December 29, 2025

State Senator Bryce Reeves has withdrawn his bid for the Republican nomination this year to run against Democrat Senator Mark Warner.

On Sunday Reeves issued the following statement:

“Today, after prayerful reflection and conversations with my family, I am withdrawing from the U.S. Senate race. A serious family health matter and the realities of timing require my full attention at home. My faith and my family come first. I remain fully committed to serving the citizens of Virginia’s 28th Senatorial District and look forward to seeking re-election to my Senate seat in 2027. My work continues in the General Assembly to protect our AAA bond rating, strengthen our economy, and ensure Virginia remains the best place in America for our military and veterans. This past election was devastating for Republicans across our Commonwealth. We must stop the infighting, regroup, and unite behind principled leadership worthy of our cause. I am grateful to every supporter and volunteer who stood with us. I am not disappointed, I am prioritizing what comes first. Honor God. Love family. Protect this great country. That remains my mission.”

There are 3 other candidates running for the nomination although none are well known. From Cardinal News they are: “Kim Farrington of Fairfax County, a former federal government employee who later founded a financial management and cybersecurity firm; Aldous Mina, a Norfolk-based economic development consultant; and David Williams, a former U.S. State Department and CIA official and combat veteran from Williamsburg”.

I’m glad he is sticking with the state Senate. In order to stop the Marxist onslaught the Commie Democrats are bringing, we need to win the state Senate. He is the best chance for that Senate seat. That is more important to Virginia than a federal Senate position.

As I predicted, right on cue, John Reid’s head explodes . . .

“Here we go…. the non-negotiable leftist obsession with (anti-white) “Diversity” rather than actual experience, proven results, and excellence -regardless of race or color….. comes roaring back.
Lemme guess… it’s diversity in every way except thought.
And of course it’s this lady again.
These Dems sure look out for each other in the off year holding pattern. Gotta give em credit for that. They build that loyal bench and protect it. Smart politically.
Meanwhile take note that weak Republican leaders go along for the DEI ride

The man said: “A serious family health matter and the realities of timing require my full attention at home.”

I’m a Democrat. We are supposed to be evil incarnate yet I’m the one who accepts the man at his word and who wishes the best for him and his family while you good christian MAGAts call him a liar.

There are two catch phrases that are used in situations like this. The one he used, “ A serious family health matter and the realities of timing require my full attention at home.” And, “I wish to spend more time with my family” usually followed by “pursue other opportunities”. Is he a “liar”? Probably not, now that he has been shown the consequences of not withdrawing from the race. Make of my comments what you will. I don’t care. Too old and too experienced to not understand how this works. Happy New Year.
