Did a newly re-elected state senator lie about her residency?
It appears that state Senator Ghazala Hashmi (D) lied about her residency on her paperwork to run for re-election to the state Senate. And there are plenty of witnesses. Read the details here.
If it is confirmed that Hashmi lied on her application to run for office she would not be eligible to return to the senate and she could face punishment of a maximum fine of $2,500 and/or confinement for up to ten years. She could also lose her right to vote.
If Hashmi cannot hold Senate District 15, and it goes to her Republican opponent, Douglass Hayden Fisher, the Senate would be evenly split between the parties at 20-20 and Lt. Governor Winsome Sears would break any tie votes.

Another homeless new Delegate is Tim Griffin in HD 53. He claims he is a republican but he is a disgrace to all of us.

She could just call herself an;
undocumented resident.
Democrats will claim TPS status.
The one thing that is consistent over the past 14 years or so is the law does not apply to democrats any longer! You can sell influence you can insider trade and you can lie to immigration so this will not be overturned!!
