This year there are more spoiled mail-in ballots because the rules for mail-in ballots have changed once again and voters must have a witness to their signatures on mail-in ballots. Many mail-in ballots are lacking a witness signature. Democrats tend to favor the mail-in ballots. Republicans tend to favor in-person voting. The turnout for in-person voting has been high indicating the Republican push to get their voters to the polls early is working.
