Out of all the races in the General Assembly this year, one that seems to be drawing attention is the seat for House District 51 which covers parts of Campbell, Bedford and Pittsylvania Counties.
The Republican nominee for this district is Eric Zehr, a man who has an impressive resume of experience in public service and politics served on the Campbell County Board of Supervisors from 2014-2018 and as Chairman of the Campbell County Republican Committee from 2015-2018. Zehr is also a small business owner and operator of American House Wash.
The Democratic nominee is Kimberly Moran who as of this writing has $0 in donations according to VPAP, and no other information nor an official website or official social media can be found.
And last but not least the Independent nominee is incumbent Delegate Matt Fariss who has represented the 59th House District since 2012. Fariss failed to meet the deadline for the Republican nomination automatically declaring Zehr as the nominee and filed to run as an Independent on June 20th which was the last day to do so.
Fariss was involved in a hit and run back in March 2023 and is currently awaiting arraignment which is scheduled for July 18th at 3 p.m.
While Farris may have experience in the General Assembly and his voting record was at most times impressive among Conservative issues, I and many others feel that it’s time for a fresh start on who will represent House District 51 as far as our morals, the Constitution and our values are concerned and that breath of fresh air is no other than the Republican nominee Eric Zehr.
You can’t go wrong with a man who has experience in public service and operating a small business, so with that be rest assured that he will go to Richmond and support all small businesses in the Commonwealth. A Strong Christian Conservative, Zehr will also fight for our Judeo Christian values, our 2nd Amendment rights, Election Integrity, Parental rights, lower taxes and yes he will fight to protect the unborn.
I do regard the unborn as children as well – Eric Zehr (when introducing his three grandchildren, one of whom was in the womb at the time)
While Delegate Fariss is very popular among the farmers and Agriculture community I can assure the farmers and Agriculture voters of House District 51 that Zehr who is also a blueberry farmer knows your needs and what it takes to provide food for families throughout the Commonwealth and I ask that you will vote for him in November with the same trust that you had for Delegate Fariss throughout the years.
Zehr has also been endorsed by many former and current public servants in House District 51 and one of them is no other than former Campbell County Supervisor (who served with Zehr) and current Virginia 5th District Congressman Bob Good himself.
Like I say to everyone in regards to a candidate, do your research and you be the judge of who will earn your vote in November. You can find out more about Eric Zehr’s platform at zehrfordelegate.org and I also recommend checking out his recent interview on The Adam Boyer Show which can be found on YouTube and Rumble.
