Former Delegate Joe Morrissey continues to hold the lead for Mayor of Richmond against 4 other candidates. Results in a poll taken last week: Joe Morrissey 29%, Venture Richmond Director Jack Berry 25%, former Secretary of the Commonwealth Levar Stoney in third at 14 percent, City Councilman Jon Baliles in fourth at 12 percent, and City Councilman Michelle Mosby at 7 percent.
To win the Mayoral race in Richmond a candidate must win five of the 9 districts in the city on election day. At this time Morrissey has the lead in six districts and Berry leads in the other three. If no candidate wins 5 seats on election day there will be a run off between the top two.
The Richmond Association of Realtors has endorsed Jack Berry and they paid for the poll, surveying 369 landlines and 231 cell phones.
