Virginia’s next race for Governor is a year away. Two candidates thus far have announced their intentions to run, Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger, (D-Prince William) and Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears. According to a poll conducted by University of Mary Washington’s Center for Leadership and Media Studies of 1,000 Virginia voters the race is tied at 39% with 22% undecided or intending to vote for someone else.
The poll also showed a tight race for President with Harris on top by only 2%, 48% to Trump’s 46%.
Attorney General Jason Miyares has been rumored to throw his hat into the race next year for Govenor. His chances were also surveyed in this poll with him gathering 39% of those polled to Spanberger’s 40%.

Spanberger will win.
Sears will be the RPV nominee and she will lose.
Miyares will lose to the Democratic AG nominee.
In fact, Democrats will sweep the Gov, Lt Gov, and AG in 2025.
As of Jan 1, 2026, the political careers of Sears, Miyares, and Youngkin will end. Youngkin will retire to his mujlti-milliion $$$ mansion; Sears will go back to her home appliance repair business, and Miyares will be found hanging around hospital ER entrances handing out business cards.

However, I’ll be following her lead, and past example in voting for fellow Republicans.
Therefore, my wife and I will be writing in Corey Stewart instead of her.

I hope that Jason Miyares does not run for governor because he is an outstanding AG and I would like him to continue in that role. Hopefully, WINsome will be victorious again (it is in her name after all). Since the governor is limited to 4 years, Miyares can run next time. He is young. He can spend 4 more years in the second most important position in the state. In a perfect Virginia world, we’ll have Gov. Sears, AG Miyares, and Senator Youngkin. Not sure who LTG would be.

She will be a fantastic governor. I actually have a lot of respect for Spanberger but I don’t think she wants to be the Governor except as a stepping stone for higher office. Sears will continue Youngkin’s outstanding work. Now that Virginians are finally waking from their sleep we stand a great chance of taking back the lege from the democrat traitora.
