The latest poll from Hampton University Center for Public Policy shows Ed Gillespie up by 8%, 41 to 33% with 27% still undecided. We can expect the majority of those undecided voters to break for Gillespie, and not the Lt Governor incumbent. More polls should be released on Thursday.

There is no evidence to suggest who those 27% undecided voters will break for. Just like the Hampton poll said those undecided make this particular poll within the margin of error. The recent Va Governor’s primary the polls had Stewart losing by double digits and then he came within a margin of a recount.
The Arlington Dems are claiming that their in person absentee ballot effort is 180% above where they were at 4 years ago. The Fairfax Dems have a record of out maneuvering Republicans in their own AB effort 3 to 1. Republicans start each election in the hole because of the Dems AB effort which is hard to make up on Election Day but not insurmountable.
The Dems are so organized that they are driving folks to go in person AB vote for this election.
The Arlington Dems claim because of their transportation network they have in place they drove 400 voters to the polls last year. None of what I am saying should be taken lightly because I have been tracking and doing Intel on the Dems in NoVa since 2008 and we continue to lose ground to them in NoVa.
The Gillespie campaign is smart to keep pushing the MS 13 Gang problem. This is what I believe is resonating with the voters. Northam is a terribly boring candidate and is relying on all the leftist groups and down ballot candidates to do all of the hard work for him.
The election will be a nail biter in my opinion.
If 2016 is any indication, a significant number of ‘undecided’ voters are really silent Gillespie voters.

Who knows if the poll is right or not. Time will tell. I do hope that all the revelations coming out about Hillary will depress voter turnout for McAuliffe’s successor. McAuliffe is no different than the Clintons in his tactics and values.
Hillary’s presidency certainly has been disappointing.
Thankfully, great patriots like John McCain, Mitt Romney, George W. Bush, Jeff Flake, and Bob Corker are fighting the good fight.

Didn’t believe the poll which had Northam up by 14. Don’t believe this either. Time for us to redouble our efforts and bring home a win.
Exactly, although I’d be thrilled if Gillespie won by eight, since it probably would mean that Vogel and Adams both won as well.
Yeah, if he is actually up by 8 he would drag the others to victory. That would be sweet.

I said “actually” because I put no stock in polls. Here we have two polls (this one and the Q poll) within a week with a 25+pt difference.
Pollsters are (barely) one step above psychic readers.
Chad – I would expect that Jill will win – it’s Adams we need to get over the finish line. Ed too. Best guess is that Ed is ahead by a point or so, but that’s not something anyone should be comfortable with.
What the heck do you mean that you didn’t believe the poll? The poll simply states the results of the surveys and cannot be wrong since it reports actual numbers. Perhaps you mean to say you don’t believe that poll reflects the eventual outcome? Unlike Trump, here at TBE, correct words matter
