First, thanks to all the brave people who spoke and supported speakers at last night’s school board meeting. God bless each one of you for your bravery in the face of such hostility.
We have 9 days left to elect a school board that wants to protect our children from sexually explicit materials. We only have one shot at this.
There is the easy way and the hard way:
EASY WAY – Volunteer and donate to the candidates as much as possible in the next 9 days. If they win, we don’t have to attend every single meeting over the next four years because the school board will have our backs. They’ll have transparency and will protect our kids.
HARD WAY – We don’t do much to help these brave candidates and leave them to fend for themselves. If they don’t win, the liberal school board will throw the door open to materials MUCH worse than this. Think about it, if they are willing to push this stuff days before an election, imagine what they do when there is no recourse for us!
What is more important that protecting 80,000+ children in Loudoun county?
Here are the candidates who will protect kids. Every voter gets to choose one At-Large candidate and one from the district you live in:
Julie Sisson – At Large (means countywide seat)
Melanie Turner – Algonkian District
Mike Neely – Sterling District
Ram Venkatachalam – Blue Ridge Dist
John Beatty – Catoctin District
Jeff Morse – Dulles District
Joe Newcomer – Leesburg District
Eric Hornberger – Ashburn District
These candidates trying to get literature hung onto GOP doors and need help. Kids over the age of 7 are awesome at doing this so you can bring them too!
Nine days and counting – please make this a priority because if we fail to protect our kids we’ll have four long years to regret not doing much to help. The School Board has a four year term in office – that’s a student’s entire high school experience! LCPS will be changed forever and the damage to our kids will be done. Please step up. We’re almost out of time.
