In the chart below VPAP.org shows how Virginians voted for Governor by Congressional districts. It looks like some of our Congressional Representatives may face some challenges in 2018.
Virginia’s Congressional representatives here.

People need to stop focusing on the national elections and start working locally. The one thing that any conservative can do is get out the vote where they live. You have no control over what happens at the national level, you just don’t. You also have no control over what happens at the state level, and almost no control over what happens in your city or county. But have you ever heard of a voting precinct ? You CAN influence elections at that level, anybody can. You can work to make sure that every single conservative in your precinct votes on election day.
If you are in occupied Virginia, your precinct can be the one spot of red that pisses Democrats off.
… and if you’re old, feeble, and ready for the trash heap, and you can’t walk a precinct, you can get out the vote in an even smaller area, at your retirement community, bingo parlor, or at the strip club with your favorite lap dancer.

This is very concerning for Comstock holding the 10th.
Comstock has painted herself into a corner. She made a choice to be vocal in her opposition to Trump, and Ryan & McConnell have failed to pass anything that she can point to and say “that was me too”. Big chunk of her base has left her, and as we saw on Nov 7, the swing has swung to the left. I understand why she did it, I just disagree that this was the best of bad choices. Number 1 rule; if you lose your base, you lose. Why else do you think there are so many Dems fighting to be the one who faces her in November? Hyenas always go after the sick and injured.
Comstock has no chance in the 10th. Even Comstock knows that. It makes no difference if she is pro or anti Trump. No Republican can win that district with the rapid demographic changes that have happened there. The only question is what kind of Democrat will win.
The unfortunate problem for Comstock is that she will have a hard time winning any other state office, precisely for the reasons you mentioned. She was too fickle, did not support Trump, etc. I think she is done.
Agreed. If anyone has a path to victory for Comstock, I’d love to hear it.
Easy, run as a Democrat.
Based on her voting record she’s practically one already.
Switch parties??
Shak will secure her the nomination and fundamentally transform her into the voice of reason and light.
She’ll have to retire and run for Senate.
Running statewide against Tim Kaine might be a better chance, if she can beat Corey Stewart.
If Corey Stewart is the nominee, there won’t be a Republican Party in Virginia.
Like there’s one now?
If you think GOP voters were uninspired by Gillespie just wait until the Queen of the RINO’s (TM) is on the ballot.
Kaine will crush her by 15 points.
Vote for Shak!! He’ll win the 10th for sure. NO question……
I’ll vote for the Libertarian candidate before I vote Comstock for Senate.
If it’s Comstock v Stewart, Barbara is the easy and obvious choice.
FYI, she is running for House, not Senate….but that stuff can be hard to understand….
Well, I know following a thread is hard. You just have to put in a little effort. I was replying to Mr. Tucker’s comment above about Babs having to retire and run for the Senate.
Nah, Tax and Spend Barbie just has to run as a Dem and she’ll be fine. Lord knows she’s worthless as a Republican.
One cannot be more ‘concerned’ on anything than Babs — she is the Concern Queen!
