Republican John Curran of Williamsburg has announced a write-in campaign for Lt. Governor. He did not make the Republican ballot because he failed to turn in the required number of signatures.

RPVA,
I do not know Mr.Curran so my comment is not specifically in support of his write in campaign.
John Reid has placed, us Christians, who believe in the teachings of the Bible and try to live lives based on it’s teachings in an uncompromising place.
It seems Patti, and others want us to put our principles aside and VOTE R no matter what R represents.
It does not work that way.
Jesus quotes Genesis 2:24
Matthew 19:4-5
And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
John may check a lot of conservative boxes but obviously conservatism has multiple meanings in the
R Party which is why the R Party has gone along to get along and the country is in debt and traditional Christian values have been kicked to the curb.
It’s not right, Patti, for you to ask people who do not agree with your values to support your values. How about you support our values?
How about a candidate that does not bring controversy to the election? It’s hard enough to get R’s voted into office. Is this too much to ask?
Just because you are an R doesn’t mean that we are going to get good representation. History has proven this.
At this time I cannot vote for John.
” . . . because he failed to turn in the required number of signatures.”
Prospective candidates receive detailed instructions and assistance from the Dept of Elections. If you can’t get the required number of signatures, either:
1. You are exceedingly stupid, or,
2. You are exceedingly unpopular, or,
3. Both
In this clown’s case, I suspect it’s #3.

Mr. Curran: You stated the issues nicely. Can you tell us what you have already done to address correction of these issues? What have been your accomplishments or achievements as a Virginia Republican? Thank you,
Mr. Curran lost by not qualifying for the ballot. Sponsoring this write-in campaign against our legitimate and lawful nominee disqualifies him from any local Republican committee membership, if he has such membership. Anyone publicly supporting Mr. Curran – or any other candidate- against our nominee also disqualifies themselves from party membership, per the RPV Party Plan.
Seriously? Did you just type that out loud? I am not sure you could do a poorer job of “trading a room”. Your comment portrays the RPV in a very bad light. The party created this mess. Don’t blame the voters!
Doesn’t take much to “portray the RPV” in a very bad light.
Patti, your last sentence: “Anyone publicly supporting Mr. Curran – or any other candidate- against our nominee also disqualifies themselves from party membership, per the RPV Party Plan.”
This happened in the 5th Congressional District just last year.
Patti, have the people who publicly supported Bob Good over the R nominee, John McGuire, been disqualified and therefore permanently removed from the Party? Not temporarily but permanently disqualified from membership.
Many of them are your close, personal friends. They refused to pledge to support McGuire and many of them called and promoted a write-in for Good on social media.
According to you, these people should out of the party. Yet they had their committee memberships restored and some are now back on State Central Committee.
Please make it make sense, Patti.
Toe the line, kiss the ring, bow and submit or, yer outta here! Heckuva way to grow the party. More like a middle school clique.
Anyone running as a write is dead to me forever!
