Currently, drivers pay $4.75 to take the Dulles Toll Road, in January that fee is likely to increase to $6.00, each way, another $50 a month for commuters. The increase will go to pay for the Silver Line extension to Dulles airport and Loudoun County. Rates would increase by $1.25, rising 75 cents at the main toll plaza and 50 cents at off-ramps. With gas prices increasing and tolls increasing, it’s getting very expensive to commute from Loudoun County.
It is not known when the Silver line Metro extension might open. Its original opening date was the summer of 2018, 4 years ago.
From WTOP.com:
“Two public hearings have been planned, on July 18 and 21. And a 30-day public comment period will be held, before the Board of Directors scheduled vote on Nov. 16. If passed, the toll increase would go into effect Jan. 1, 2023.“
( Many of us predicted such Silver Line delays and cost increases when Loudoun County Board of Supervisors proposed and passed Metro to Loudoun back in 2012.)

The nightmare that is the US led by corrupt clowns like Bribem and his cohorts in the uni party cesspool is just getting to a roaring blaze. Maybe double digit gas prices.. Way to go Sleep Joe!!! will solve your transportation issues in the Northern Virginia end of the Swamp.
Biden Boom Erica!!!!… You and your cohorts in the Democrap part of the cesspool might want to look at the latest issue of the Economist… Voice of the Globalist Davos WEF scumbags… The Coming Food Crisis… Bribem and his merry band of jag offs, neocons, grifters, etc… had better get their asses to the negotiating table with Putin. If this goes on another year, the world is in for starvation… mass migration north… unrest… as even the US ag system will be strained with fertilizer not available or too expensive to made planting crops worth it.
You globalist morons Erica… and Dunghead Martin… you useful idiots who support the likes of Bribem, Clinton etc. and their cohorts in the GOP Inc… these guys have not made a smart decision in decades… And now it is getting dire.
The Commonwealth promised Virginians that, once the Toll Road debt was paid off, the road would revert to a free ride. At that point in time when the payoff actually occurred, Governor Tim Kaine unilaterally changed the rules and signed the Toll Road over to MWAA so they could have an additional revenue stream so they could continue to finance their failing system. Whenever someone pays a toll on the Toll Road, always remember that IT IS TIM KAINE’S FAULT!
I haven’t used the Toll Road or the Greenway in years. Good luck with raising money from that. There are a thousand ways to get around it.
