Paul Prados Running for 11th District Chair

written by Paul A. Prados February 5, 2016

Dear readers,

Today on Facebook I announced on Facebook I am running for Chairman of the 11th Congressional District Republican Committee.  To your benefit or to your chagrin you may see a little less of my posts here over the next few months.  I appreciate the people I have met through the Bull Elephant community and I look forward to working with you to help Republicans get elected in Virginia.

You can find information about Delegate signup and voting, and further details about my goals for the position will be posted in the days and weeks to come.

Below is my announcement:

I am announcing my candidacy for Chairman of the 11th Congressional District Republican Committee.  As will be laid out here, I plan to focus on four areas to increase the effectiveness of the position and lead to more Republican wins at all levels in and around the 11th Congressional District.

Transparency, to ensure the Republican grassroots can understand and act on what the 11th Congressional District Committee and RPV are doing.

Independence, rejection of the groupthink mold on the State Central Committee and the RPV Executive Committee in order to avoid public relations mistakes such as the recently overturned statement of affiliation.

Advocacy, use of the title and position to pursue Democrats at all levels, freeing our candidates to promote their own message of choice.  Advocating for conservative principles within the RPV.

Organization, sharing of information with Republican nominees at all levels.  Northern Virginia Republicans need to work together if we want to win.  The 11th Congressional District will not be a petty fiefdom if I am elected.

This is Delegate signup season and deadlines are fast approaching.  Whether you are a first time attendee, or you are an old hand, if you need help with the Delegate signup process please reach out to us by messaging this page or emailing us at [email protected].

I look forward to your support on May 14th!

Paul A. Prados

Having fallen prey to the allure of DC politics in college, Paul escaped only to make the similar judgment error of going to law school. Trained at the side of a sitting state Senator, Paul is now the owner of a law firm in Reston, Virginia. In previous years Paul built a base of support on Twitter @ppradoslaw and founded and wrote for a blog on Virginia politics and legal procedure northernvirginialawyer.blogspot.com. As a pro-life libertarian, Paul finds himself at home within the broader conservative movement, and believes in a big tent Republican Party. In May 2016 Paul was elected as Chairman of the 11th Congressional District Republican Committee. Paul resides in western Fairfax County with his wife and children.
