Axiom Strategies is polling the key counties in seven swing states. These counties were chosen because they have reflected the results of the national elections since 2000. In Virginia, that county is Loudoun. The other swing states where polling is taking place are Colorado, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, and Ohio.
In Axiom’s most recent polling in June, Trump is ahead in five of the seven key counties. In the Colorado county of Jefferson, Hillary is up by 4%. In Loudoun County she is up 8%! Trump is on top in all the other counties, and up by a whopping 17% in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
In Loudoun County Hillary gets 45% of the vote, Trump 37, Gary Johnson 6%, someone else 6%, and undecided 7%. Trump is viewed favorably by 33% and unfavorably by 57%. Hillary isn’t vastly different, her favorable rating is at 40% and unfavorable 52%.
In Loudoun, Trump only gets 60% of the Republican vote along with 15% of Democrats and 36% of Independents. Hillary does much better with her party, as 74% of Loudoun Democrats support her, as do 18% of Republicans and 37% of Independents.
