The chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), Ronna Romney McDaniel, intends to resign her position in late February after the South Carolina primary, according to the NY Times. The Bull Elephant has not been impressed by Mrs. McDaniel’s tenure as chair.
It is expected that Trump will appoint the chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, Michael Whatley, as her replacement.

Whatley is hardly a fresh, young face ready to lead the GOP out of the desert. Instead, Trump picked him because he’s a big “the 2020 election was stolen” true believer. Look for him to run the RNC deeper into the ground as he spends all his time and all the RNC’s money on phony “election fraud” crap.
Good riddance
Let’s not get too excited yet. Ronna has refuted this resignation story.
Finally. Now let’s get some young blood in there rather than a substitute RINO. This was long overdue and quite costly to the Republican party in general.
