I’m sure you, like millions of other Americans have as of this past week heard of Oliver Anthony and maybe even have listened to his new and yet viral song titled “Rich Men North of Richmond” which to date has over 16 million views and counting as the hours and the days go by? Well if you haven’t then here’s what you’re missing out on.
Oliver Anthony a native from Farmville Virginia, was at one point an unknown musician but that was until he released what many of us including myself are calling an anthem for hard working everyday Americans.
Rich Men North of Richmond speaks major volumes of how many of us are feeling towards the ungodly attributes these rich men north of Richmond put upon us who work ourselves to the bone to provide for our families while there are others who refuse to work an honest job by accepting government handouts taking the easy way out while someone else pays for it all and who may that be?
Yup that’s right the hard working Americans trying to take care of our own but yet that’s why our dollar ain’t worth anything nowadays because it’s taxed all the way around to guarantee the socialist lifestyle these welfare abusers bask upon. Guess the rich men north of Richmond nor the socialist fanatics have read this certain scripture from the Bible?
For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat either. – 2 Thessalonians 3:10 NASB
Hmm, well there you have it straight from the Word of God itself and that’s not what I say but what God has to say and if you have a problem with that you should take it up with Him, good luck to that!
On Sunday August 13th, Oliver Anthony performed to a crowd of people in Currituck North Carolina where he performed his newest hit song even having country star Jamey Johnson join him on stage
to perform “In Color”. As he started the show Anthony read the following scripture to the crowd that hits spot on to what his new song is telling the American people.
The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow to take down the af licted and the needy, to kill of those who are upright in conduct. Their sword will enter their own heart and their bows will be broken. Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord sustains the righteous. The Lord knows the days of the blameless and their inheritance will be forever. They will not be ashamed in the time of evil and in the days of famine they will have
plenty. But the wicked will perish; and the enemies of the Lord will be like the glory of the pastures, they vanish-like smoke they vanish away. – Psalm 37:12-20 NASB
The word of God is indeed unfolding before our eyes and the rich men north of Richmond, the socialist fanatics and every other unbeliever needs to look at the chaos they have caused, repent and believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ before it is too late.
As for Oliver Anthony, he has indeed composed an anthem for us and sings exactly how we all feel and now the message is spreading like wildfire and as far as getting the message out to the masses, I believe he is just getting started.
Please if you haven’t yet, take three minutes of your time and listen to Rich Men North of Richmond. No doubt about it but Oliver Anthony will be a name that rings throughout history as the years, decades and centuries go by.
If you thought Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town” rocked the nation. You ain’t heard nor seen anything yet.
