This contribution is gonna be short but very sweet and it might just be my shortest article yet! As I write this article on the eve of Good Friday I sit here thinking of what’s to come. Reflecting on the famous sermon of S.M Lockridge “It’s Friday, But Sunday’s Coming” but what’s coming on Sunday one may ask? Not what’s coming but what has already come. The day that Jesus walked out of the grave and conquered death after taking on the sins of the world on the cross at Golgotha. This phenomenon which occurred a little less than two thousand years ago is still debated today as to whether it was indeed the greatest event in history or just a mere myth and of course people want the evidence and the facts!
Folks, there are so many facts about this glorious event in the Word of God itself through prophecy and eyewitness accounts, and even intensive research from great examples such as “The Case for Christ” author Lee Strobel who was once an atheist out to prove that God didn’t exist but ended up with evidence to prove otherwise and now writing the facts of the very truth of God’s existence but since I said I’d make this short and sweet I will give you one great piece of evidence that proves Jesus did in fact rise from the dead.
THE EMPTY TOMB! Yes, the very tomb that Joseph of Arimathea gave for our Lord and Savior to be buried in as mentioned in the scriptures, the very tomb in Jerusalem that many from all over the world visit today, the very tomb that is empty because He has risen!
This weekend let us reflect upon the sacrifice that Jesus made for all of us and rejoice at the fact that He is alive and coming back again soon. HAPPY EASTER AND HE IS RISEN!
