A few days prior to the first Republican Presidential Debate, GOP presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy declared that he supports the idea of reducing financial aid to Israel.
To be honest while I am personally a supporter of Donald Trump and have endorsed his 2024 presidential campaign, I saw Ramaswamy as one who while maybe not being President but as one who could possibly be a vice presidential pick, have a spot in the next President’s cabinet or in the very least get his name out to the American people building up an impressive political resume and I’ll also admit that I started to admire the guy, that was however until he made the following statement.
“Israel should not receive preferential treatment from the United States, even though our relationship with Israel has advanced American interests over time. – Vivek Ramaswamy
Very bad call on Ramaswamy’s end as far as I’m concerned. He can claim that he supports Israel all he wants but to even have a notion such as cutting aid to Israel is not only bad but a dangerous suggestion.
Israel is in fact God’s chosen nation and it is important now more than ever that we as Americans while we can still hold dear to our God given patriotism, rights, freedoms and our love for our country that He has blessed greatly through the ages should acknowledge and stand also with the nation that God has called the apple of His eye.
For the Lord of armies says this: After glory He has sent me against the nation’s that plunder you, for the one who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. – Zechariah 2:8 (NASB)
As I’ve stated in my previous article in my endorsement of Donald Trump, one big deal was the fact that while he was President his kept promise of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to the Holy City which in fact was a fulfillment of Bible Prophecy. Not only was this move history in the making on Trump’s end, it was also an example that was set to remind Americans just how precious Israel is and that she needs our support and prayers dearly.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. – Psalms 122:6 (KJV)
Vivek Ramaswamy claims that he is Hindu but shares our Christian values even going as far as declaring the fact that God is real on the debate stage but here are a couple of things that he needs to remember.
1. There is only one way to God the Father
Jesus saith unto Him, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life: No man cometh unto the Father but by me. – John 14:6 (KJV)
2. If you are on God’s side then you must stand with His chosen nation.
Country Singer Johnny Cash once said “Being a Christian isn’t for sissies, it takes a real man to live for God a lot more man than to live for the devil” and how true those words are and I say unto all who read this that standing with God and the apple of His eye is the most patriotic thing an American can do. Do what you will but as for me I am a proud American who gladly stands with Israel. Do you stand with her?

All people should be, and are, free to aid Israel, financially and prayerfully. That’s a very different thing than mandating all taxpayers support her, and this is a problem with all foreign aid and freebies. I’m pretty sure this was was Ramaswamy is getting at. Most of the younger generations (people under 60 years old), growing up in an American that is now $32 trillion in debt, unable to honor her domestic commitments to them, and having inflated the currency beyond repair, agree with him.
