I have played and taught tennis for quite a few years now. So, not surprisingly, I have followed Novak Djokovic, one of the greats of tennis and possibly the greatest of them all. He just recently won another Grand Slam title, number 10 at the Australian Open, and a total of 22 equaling the great Rafael Nadal. However, his win was not without controversy.
Approximately a year ago, at the height of the COVID pandemic panic, Novak was banned from playing at the Australian Open because he hadn’t been COVID vaxxed. He argued, to no avail, that he had gotten COVID a month or so earlier and was no longer a threat. In addition, he was opposed to being vaxxed because of the growing concerns over problems with side effects.
His concern was not without merit in the tennis community. Jeremy Chardy, a top 50 French tennis player, had been vaxxxed in early 2021 and suffered quite severely. He ended up suspending training and seeking medical assistance. (Fortunately, he did managed to play doubles in the 2023 Australian Open but questions about his physical health remain.)
On April 1st, 2021 – yes, that is correct, April Fool’s Day – my wife and I got the first Pfizer shot. We had not done much research on the subject and though that the COVID 19 vaxx was much like every other vaccine we had gotten. We were wrong. My wife ended up having difficulty breathing and I ended up with a strange blood problem.
It turns out that one of our neighbors had gotten myocarditis from the COVID vaxx. His wife got her second shot of the Pfizer vaxx and ended up in the emergency room. Their 10 year old son, fortunately unvaxxed, is a whiz at tennis. I then met someone who had developed Bell’s Palsy, just like Justin Bieber. (Bieber’s wife ended up with a stroke caused by a blood clot in the brain.)
As 2022 ended, more medical professionals and entire nations started taking a second look at the COVID vaxxes. Some medical professionals suggested banning the vaxxes altogether. Some nations have restricted the use of COVID vaxxes for people under 50 years of age although they are hedging their bets based on need to use.
People are rising up against vaxx tyranny with marches throughout Europe showing the faces and names of people severely injured and killed by the vaxxes. BBC buildings in the UK were plastered with photographs of young faces no longer with us. (Some of the stories of death and injury are so horrific that It is hard to read them without revulsion and sadness at what has happened.)
Novak Djokovic is one of the heroes of the unvaxxed. He stood up at great personal and professional cost to “just say no”. I hope the movement against the horrors of the vaxxes continues to grow. It is obvious that governments around the world exceeded their roles in pandemic panic responses, and many government officials lied directly and still lie about the situation.
Science like tennis has to be fully played with all the resources available. When you hobble a tennis player he or she will not win regardless of how good they are. Unfortunately, COVID vaxx science has been hobbled – and Novak Djokovic has clearly exposed it.
