What redistricting could look like in Virginia

written by Jeanine Martin October 28, 2025

If the Democrats have their way, Virginia will redistrict all of our congressional districts early next year leaving Republicans with only 1 or 2 seats. The General Assembly has been called into session for just that purpose. See what they are doing here.

Currently the Democrats have 6 seats in Congress and Republicans have 5.

Proposed new district maps have been leaked to Cardinal News.

Some of the proposed maps:

In this map Loudoun county and Lee County would be in the same district:

More Gerrymandering:

These maps are ridiculous but we can’t put it past a Democrat General Assembly to leave Republicans with only one or two seats in Congress for next year’s mid term elections. Another reason to vote Republican on November 4th.

More details and maps here.

Per SEN Mark Obenshain who is SPOT ON!

“Five years ago, Democrats and Republicans alike stood together and said enough was enough: voters should choose their legislators, not the other way around. The constitutional amendment establishing a bipartisan redistricting commission passed the Senate 40–0, the House 83–11 and was ratified by nearly 66% of Virginia voters.

At the time, leading Democrats agreed with the principle of fair, nonpartisan maps. Senator Mamie Locke said Virginians had made it clear they wanted voters to choose their legislators. Senator Schuyler Van Valkenburg urged colleagues to “live up to our own high standards” and enact meaningful reform.

Now, those same Democrats are trying to undo what the people of Virginia demanded — because they think it will give them a political advantage in next year’s congressional elections. Make no mistake: their goal is to eliminate Virginia’s entire Republican congressional delegation by rewriting the rules of the game mid-decade.

They claim their repeal would apply “only” to congressional districts, as if that makes it acceptable to return to the old system of gerrymandering that Virginians overwhelmingly rejected. They say it’s justified because of what other states are doing. But let’s be clear — this is nothing more than a partisan power grab designed to wipe out dissenting voices in Washington.

The redistricting amendment was designed to end this kind of political gamesmanship once and for all. It put fairness into our Constitution and took politics out of the map room. Repealing it now would drag Virginia backward into the very kind of manipulation we worked so hard to stop.

I will fight to protect the will of the voters and the integrity of our Constitution. But ultimately, the safeguard against this kind of overreach is you — informed Virginians who make your voices heard at the ballot box.

Next week’s election will determine whether we continue on a path of transparency, accountability, and integrity — or return to back-room politics and self-serving power plays.

Let’s stand up for fair elections and honest government. Let’s elect Winsome Sears as our next Governor and support our entire Republican ticket — candidates committed to protecting the rule of law, our families, and the will of the voters.”

This is not good. We must first overcome this form of voter non-representation.
After this I will not support any Congressional Candidate that doesn’t support amendments to the Immigration Reform Act preventing undocumented immigrants (illegal aliens) from operating businesses and circumventing
E-Verify laws by working as “independent contractors” (truck drivers and building contractors), we don’t want states issuing Commercial Drivers Licenses which correspond with this.
As of now where the Democrats are worse is;
1) They give unemployment to undocumented immigrants operating as “gig workers”
2) Food & housing subsidies for their children.
3) College Tuition for undocumented immigrants.
4) And Healthcare

Folks as taxpayers looking at a government that escalates our debt annually and irresponsibly. For this issue we cannot continue to subsidize imported Corporate labor while our elected representatives profiteer from it.
