Four Republican candidates are running for the nomination for Congress in the 10th Congressional district along with 12 Democrats, some of whom live in the district.
Delegate Dan Helmer of Fairfax leads the Democrats in fundraising despite residing outside the 10th district. (It is legal for Congressional representatives to live outside their district, although most do not.)
On the Republican side, lawyer and businessman Mike Clancy leads in fundraising as well as cash on hand.
The primary will be held June 18th and early voting begins next Friday, May 3rd. Virginia election information here.

Where do the democrats get so much money?
There are more democrats than there are republicans, so there is more money for donations.
If republicans outnumbered democrats, it would be the other way around, but it is not, save for RINOs who work both sides, like Hogan.
