Governor Youngkin has started two new PAC’s to help elect Republican governors across the country and a couple of Republican House members closer to home in Virginia.
From Politico.com:
“Kristin Davison, a senior adviser for Youngkin’s political operation, said the new groups will build on Youngkin’s campaign themes. “Looking to 2022, Gov. Youngkin will continue to grow that movement and help other candidates win, especially those that will turn blue states red, just as he did in Virginia last year,” Davison said in a statement.
Youngkin has established two organizations for his political work, both of which can accept donations of unlimited size: Spirit of Virginia, a “527” political action committee, and America’s Spirit, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit group which will not have to disclose its donors but faces some restrictions on how the money is spent.
Spirit of Virginia has already started to promote Youngkin’s agenda, running TV ads urging members of the state Legislature to pass his proposed budget.”
Thirty-six states have Governor’s elections this year, with sixteen of them having incumbent Democrats. Youngkin’s PACs have not said which Republican candidates they will be supporting this year. More on this story at politico link above.
It would seem Youngkin’s PAC money would first go to flipping members of the state senate so Republicans would gain the majority, and continue their majority in the House of Delegates so that Youngkin could get his agenda passed in the General Assembly.
Might the formation of these PACs be with an eye toward Governor Youngkin running for higher office in 2024?

Oh, good! He can’t pass a budget but let’s move on to President… smh…
Well, in order to sign (pass) a budget, would not the House and Senate both need to pass and send him a budget? And, aren’t the Crats in the Senate refusing his tax cuts?
Are you a boy or girl today? 😂
“His” tax cuts… you prove my point. Oh, and your culture war joke also proves my point…. brought to you by campaign Youngkin… “Presidential” material for Conservatives…
Can he start by fixing this kind of crap?:
– Freedom Convoy (“Yay! We won! AB 2223 didn’t pass!! Whoo!! We–what’s that?….We…we lost?)
– Florida (“Take away Disney’s special district status! That’ll show ’em to keep their mouths shut about–what’s that?..we gotta pay a billion dollars in debt now?”)
– McCarthy (“Lies! I never said anything like that! I ought to sue the–what’s that?…there’s a tape?)
It would nice to not have to be on the defensive about ridiculous stuff s all the time. I know, I know, “what about”….you would have to concern yourself w what about if you weren’t constantly allowing/fostering the eating of shoe leather from within.
Disney. It got special privileges that no other theme park has in Florida. It has decided to wage war on a piece of legislation that its corporate board in California has deemed it wants eliminated. Are you like Eric? You want your children learning about sex in first grade? So a duly enacted piece of legislation is being attacked by a mega corporation that has huge tentacles all around the government. These massive corporations get corporate welfare out the ass. It is hard to separate Amazon from the government anymore. It has its propaganda arm.. WAPO and it has massive contracts for government cloud services… you know where all your data is. It is unusual to see any politic whore of any stripe stand up to corporations which are so monopolistic in America now that in many areas there is no competition… And they can dictate policy. You might note that when Wall St needed bailing out the government came to the rescue of these so called capitalist firms to the tune of nearly a trillion dollars. Some capitalism…hmmm? We bail out your private loss if you are a Wall st firm.
So you are a conservative that likes your big corporations dictating policy to the citizens of the country are you. Yeah… some conservative you are.
The PACs certainly expand his political influence through the money he can raise and distribute. His ability to tap deep pockets makes him a wonderfully dangerous Republican. President is a little too much of a stretch for 2024. He couldn’t get through either Trump or DeSantis. But, that POS Mark Warner is up for re-election in 2026, which conveniently is the year Youngkin’s term ends. Youngkin should finish up his term in Jan ’26 and then campaign for Senate with an election in Nov ’26. That works out very nicely. After that, he can run for President.
Sounds good to me! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a Republican Senator?!
And two would be better. Hopefully we will get rid of Tim the Clownman Kaine in 2024 (and Youngkin’s PAC can help).
Someone shooting for president.
Good analysis, Dave Dickinson. In Judaism, there’s the concept of a “tzaddik” — someone who is very pious and spiritual and gives much to the community and expects nothing in return. GLenn Youngkin is clearly the ‘tzaddik’ of the GOP in Virginia. He invested his hard earned money to win the nomination and the general, and a PAC to help us regain the House of Delegates. And, now, he’s going to help candidates across the nation — and yes, raise his profile. But in doing all this, he saved Virginia! He saved us from becoming a high tax, big government, social justice warrior-controlled Blue State! I think Glenn, being a religious man, is really doing this for the rest of us. So, maybe he’s more than a ‘tzaddik’ ; perhaps the “Moschiach of the GOP!” 🙂
I agree wholeheartedly. Youngkin’s current and future influence is going to go much broader and deeper than most can imagine. His selflessness is apparent. His victory really ignited the GOP across the country and gave Republicans a great deal of much-needed confidence. I don’t think we can overstate the importance of Youngkin to Virginia and, in the future, to the country.
Totally agree Ken Reid, Governor Youngkin is a good man of God as I have repeatedly shared over the past 2 years.
He’s a member of CFR. That means that he is a globalist. Running for Governor was just a stepping stone towards running for a national office so he could destroy our sovereignty.
Possibly connected is the fact that he never responded to any of the gun-right questionnaires from the three 2A organizations. I’m afraid that he might not be signing any pro-gun bills now that he is in.
I’d like to think he didn’t answer because he needed every moderate voter he could get. I think if he captures the state Senate, we will see a great number of very conservative actions. Or, that is the crack pipe I like to smoke.
Maybe we should ask his long-time good pal Paul Ryan. Known Glenn since he was 23, he said, and I saw him at Glenn’s inauguration with Romney’s niece, Ronna the RINO. Spit. Pretty obvious the have ambitious plans. Once they eliminate Trump from the ballot, they will run someone with Glenn.
In the mean time, Glenn is showing his globalist, America Last, intentions. The latest, appoint a professional collector of data on children to the Department of Education and then press the General Assembly to pay Google to train up more data collectors. How about renovating public education to teach instead of collecting personal data on children and their families that will only be used for nefarious purposes. And how about getting manufacturers to locate in Virginia instead of deep state actors/Google that want to monitor us all for wrong-think. Dang Glenn you’ve only been in office a couple months. Guess you gotta get a lot done now before people wake up to you.
Michelle Malkin said it best just now:
“What is the point of getting rid of CRT in Virginia schools if you are just going to sell out to woke, diversity-pimping, behavioral-profiling, American worker-replacing, child data-mining, privacy-sabotaging Google/Big Tech in the name of “innovation”?”
