E.W. Jackson endorses Bob Marshall in 10th CD

written by Jamie Radtke April 9, 2014

Today E.W. Jackson, the 2013 Lt. Governor candidate, endorsed Delegate Bob Marshall for Congress in the 10th Congressional District election. Congressman Frank Wolf is retiring, so it is an open seat contest. In part of Jackson’s endorsement he stated:

Please know that I am not making this endorsement lightly. For the most part, I am remaining neutral in nomination contests. However, I endorse Bob Marshall because he is that rare bird in the aviary of politics who is dependable and predictable on the full gamut of issues important to conservatives: adherence to the Constitution, protection of religious liberties, keeping taxes low and government limited, preserving the traditional family in society, upholding the sanctity of life and maintaining fiscal responsibility and accountability.  Bob is without peer in the record he has established over many years.

This endorsement comes just ahead of the candidate debate that is scheduled for tonight, which could be a nice boost for Marshall. The Bull Elephant will have excellent post-debate coverage with Jeanine Martin, so be sure to check back in with us! The debate is for tonight, Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM (EDT)

River Bend Middle School
46249 Algonkian Parkway
Sterling, VA 20165

It will be interesting to see how much this endorsement helps Bob Marshall in Loudoun County.  Interestingly, E.W. Jackson did extremely well with Loudoun County delegates at the Republican State Convention last year. Bob will need to convert these Jackson delegate supporters to volunteers for his campaign to help with voter turnout on election day in Loudoun, assuming they were not already supporting Marshall. The Firehouse Primary is on Saturday, April 26 from 10am-3pm.
