John Adams sent a message today to his supporters to let them know he is the only Republican Attorney General candidate to qualify for the primary ballot in June, which means he will be on the ballot as the GOP nominee for the General Election in November. Â From John Adams letter:
I cannot express how special this day is for my family and me. Earlier, the Republican Party of Virginia announced the candidates that qualified for the primary ballot on June 13th. I am truly humbled and honored to be the only Republican candidate for Attorney General to qualify. As your nominee for Attorney General, I want to thank you for your support and urge you to get involved with our campaign as we now focus on beating Mark Herring in November.
I have spent more than fourteen months traveling all across our beautiful Commonwealth, meeting with thousands of voters. I have met with so many of our fellow citizens who are tired of feeling like their government no longer serves them, but rather serves itself. They want an attorney general that respects the rule of law and will defend the laws they pass through their elected representatives in the General Assembly.
It’s vitally important that Virginia has an Attorney General who will defend the laws of the Commonwealth. Â We have not had that for the last 4 years. Â If you haven’t heard John Adams speak, you should. Â He’s very impressive. Â Have no doubts at all that Adams will be an excellent attorney general. Â He’s just who we need to fill the office.

Sad about Chuck Smith. Seemed like a good guy. However it was quite obvious that he was having issues putting a campaign staff together. Chuck had a great stump speech and a heck of a personal story to tell. But he seemed uninterested in the mechanics of a statewide campaign. And the fact that Chuck never seemed interested in getting ballot petitions signed until it was too late was his ultimate downfall. Well that and the fact he would not make fundraising calls.
Never heard of this guy, he wants votes he better start getting on the road and shaking hands and kiss babies
Else NO to him
I always believe it’s best to run against some intra party competition as it sharpens your message and positions plus the benefit of choice is a boon to the state’s voting base. This is of course not his fault but I question if it is really a helpful factor against a tough future Democratic opponent like Mark Herring. Sometimes it’s better to battle to the main event then strut to the ring unopposed and ballet box untested. As much as Mark Herring is hated by the right he is adored by the left, many moderates and (a constant surprise to me) NoVA independents. As a personal opinion this outcome could be viewed as a two edged sword for a political rookie running for his first statewide office.
Chuck Smith was a stellar candidate and moves the party forward with this tacit yet most important endorsement.
So glad I met Chuck, John, and Rob and wish all our candidates see them as exemplary.
I think Obama and McCauliffe have done a great job in their executive capacities…
APRIL FOOLS!!!
Right now I will only vote for a Republican this November if one of these Republicans ; Congressman Garrett, Congressman Goodlatte, Delegate Byron or our longest serving state Senator Steve Newman.
Can speak to Va. about illegal employment and it’s counterproductive and detrimental effects on our community.
You guys at the Bull Elephant are faithfully in support of illegal immigration if you do not speak up about the violent murder and abduction of Raymond Woods in Bedford County this week.
Hey these guys weren’t here getting welfare. How did they know the area?(they work here)
Why are they here? (they work here) Many new homes and subdivisions being built in the area of the crime.
If this had happened at Liberty University I bet the response would be swift and firm.
I voted for Ken only once ,twice would make me a fool.
Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli subordinated his sworn responsibilities leaving him derelict in the execution of his duties to uphold Va. Laws
http://watchdog.org/202012/subcontractors-shadow-economy
Senator Newman will remain silent about this.
I guess the dismemberment of Va. Law must happen for your “free market” principles but it should not cause the dismemberment of a legal workforce in exchange for individuals being murdered and dismembered.
So I guess collateral damage is ok in your quest to force an unapproved guest worker program.
Va. is being attacked by illegal foreigners and Republicans sit on thier collective hands , they won’t get dismembered that way.
What does the average Republican make in Va. annually with contributions?
Criminal Santuary in Va. brought to you by elected Republicans and the RPV.
Right now our Congressmen aren’t running for re-election.
Please get more involved in the political process to better understand who, how, and what brings you when and where.
But you’re right about Ken.
So what you are saying is there is no Collective representation Within our elected Republicans?
let’s get directly to the issue and the responsibilities of each one of these yahoos employee misclassification is a federal issue that bleeds down to the States how are they addressing it within unlicensed Contracting in Virginia now let’s go to Sanctuary cities these boys that committed this crime we’re living in Lynchburg one committed a crime a murder in Maryland and fled here to Lynchburg not because Lynchburg is a sanctuary City but because Bedford County allows the employment of these individuals in their subdivisions as unlicensed contractors I’m not beating a dead horse it’s Alive and Kicking.
make no mistake this is a federal and a state issue I wonder if Sheriff Brown found out where these boys were working and what they were doing who was working them.
President Bush spoke of the terrorist we will draw no distinction from the terrorists themselves and those who Harbor them. too bad Republicans collectively lack this passion on this issue.
You could switch things around. Come down to Central America and build retirement condos for gringos moving down here. Pay your workers their $3 a day minimum wage. Live in one of the condos, pay three bucks for 2.5 lb of fish or more importantly, a doctor’s visit. You won’t find that in America.
Why fight the inevitable? Politicians aren’t your representatives, or your friends. America is no longer the country you knew.
These colors don’t run!
I fight!
How about a cheaper way like;
1. Currently trying to obtain a lawyer to bring forth a lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Virginia for classifying illegal aliens
and unlicensed contractors
as bona-fide independent contractors as the VEC does. Deregulating Statutes 54.1-1100.
2. I could run against Senator Newman or these easier choice Delegate Byron.
3. I can employee one of these framing crews to frame the next home I build and when they are close to completion call ICE .
I won’t have to pay them on top of taking out the illegal labor.
Then on to the bricklayers, roofers.
If Trump can come speak at LU for graduation and the 3 Amigo Gubernatorial Candidates coming to LU for a debate , what a debate of horse crap?
America must know who actually is providing Sanctuary to rapist, drug dealers, child molesters, gang members, abductors and murderers.
And to think that Republicans patted themselves on the back for unlicensed day care legislation. Feel good legislation not moral.
Unless these enablers feel the sting in their personal orbit from these animals that rape, kill, and destroy, they will continue to vote for open borders Cuckservatives like Gillespie.
Some Republicans only passionately speak against perversions behind the bedroom door.
I speak out against perversions of legislative representation.
If they can’t clean up thier elected district , how the with credibility can they clean up VA , DC or America?
They are to busy living the high life of legislative celebrity!
Remember Dave Bratt calling out Cantor in Richmond. It must be done again only with Va. Issued Violations to back it up.
I’m saying that Congress isn’t up for re-election this year.
That you are correct.
Now I love the right to vote for AG , not a governor’s appointment.
That being said , Will the Republican AG candidate allow Va. Employment and Contractor law not to be enforced thus providing an environment for illegal commerce (free market as some nut jobs say) and continue to provide administrative fertilizer to illegal immigration and violent gangs.
And back to the others ; it is down right disgusting that these complicit Republicans (Goodlatte, Newman, Byron, and the weak unspoken veteran Garrett ) can’t get together except in a campaign rally, excuse me a pep rally. They should get out their skirts and twirl because they darn sure are not defending the rule of law or defending Virginia.
These criminals tortured that boy for quite a while, you monitor this story the gruesome things they did to him while he was alive.
Unlicensed day care law was child’s play .
Fill in the blanks below.
How much money have these Republicans taken from Builders , Builder Associations, and lumber stores providing “install services”?
1. Stewart
2. Gillespie
3. Wagner
4. Adams
5. Goodlatte
6. Garrett
7. Newman
8. Byron
These 9 individuals should step down from thier post or thier candidacy because they are not representing legal business and public safety.
So how much have they cohesively taken to be complicit to rape, abduction, drugs , gangs , murder and torture?
http://watchdog.org/202012/subcontractors-shadow-economy
above is the previous Republican Governor McDonnell and Republican Attorney General guest worker program for killers and rapist subsidized by law abiding Virginia citizens and businesses.
Politics, mostly because it involves people, is rarely black and white, it is a constantly moving and accommodating ball of fluff.
But that the deal with self-determination — its messy and never simple.
In the Republican Party, we believe in putting forth the highly qualified, most electable nominee who best represents the values and objectives of our party.
If we are correct, the electorate agrees, if not, they put in the other guy.
John Adams is a fair, straightshooter, who cares about the law and Commonwealth and who will uphold the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
You are not getting, and will not get anyone better than he for the office. He would examine your issues as appropriate, and would take the proper action as necessary.
As far as the rest of our motley crew, they are more on your side than the other and will respond to reason as well as leverage — I’m sure that our party and our nominees can resolve your issues one way or another.
I fully understand.
Politics stink to much for sale.
The enforcement of Va. Laws , the lack of enforcement of Va. laws
then leverage is where I can hang my hat.
I speak on this site for one reason and you do know that it is genuine.
Now you guys are poised for a tough election.
McAuliffe, Diamond and Mays knew of this illegal employment approximately 9 months prior to November 2013
If you are in the game you know the last two names.
Well there was a large gathering last night amongst Campbell County school parents.
Victor Rodas and his attending Brookville High School was the topic of discussion.
I immediately brought to everyone’s attention that Sheriff Brown (Bedford County) is publicly calling him an illegal alien.
We know he was a DACCA child placed here from NJ.
No family.
I was also quick to bring to everyone’s attention that the CC BOS is majority Republican, Rick Boyers’ candidates. Mike Rousseau , James Borland, Bob Good, and licensed DPOR Contractor Eric Zehr.
I quickly placed blame on these men also Senator Newman ( who we concluded from combined e mails that he knew of the illegal aliens working in these districts as unlicensed contractors as early as 2010).
I stated; Delegate Kathy Byron must go ( with all supporting ) , the only time she has anything to do with this school system is to send General Assembly pencils to honor roll students.
I said between the Campbell First local conservative organization and the help of Katie Webb Cypreht and all of us going into these new subdivisions of ,Leesville Rd. Estates , Great Oaks ,Grand Oaks , Cornerstone , Wyndhurst, Farmington , Ivy Lake , Autumn Run, and on and on with these new places to buy ( voters).
The political climate is here now is the best time to TAKE this seat of Representation back to the people.
Independent Lacey Putney held on for some time.
My last words before leaving to Coach ball;
Senator Newman and Delegate Byron have been in office for Thomas Rd. Bapist Church and Liberty University for way to long , they have been living the secure bubble created by our voting and they do nothing!
The “ball of fluff” is coming to LU for a Gubernatorial Debate. Are the fluffed prepared to answer questions on thier policies for illegal employment?
Being prepared means substance , not week talking points of the uneducated blaming it on Santuary Cities , being that Bedford County is the hotbed of illegal employment.
Will these men turn DOLI violations over to DPOR and thier local respective prosecutors or obstruct justice?
Woooo-hooo! We had several good candidates but in the end there is only John Adams. The Democrats have infiltrated the AG offices across the nation with political patsies who fail to uphold the law. Mark Herring is Virginia’s prime example of failure. We REALLY need to get behind Mr. Adams and defeat our local (to Loudoun) embarrassment Mark Herring.
