Virginia has gone full blue. No hope for conservatives.
Take the money out of campaigns. Limit donations to $25 or $50. Say no to PAC’s. Stop the “power company” form of government.

I believe our campaign finance rules are backwards. Individuals should be allowed to donate whatever they want, corporations and unions should be held to $2,500 or whatever it is. If Rick Santorum wants to be financed by Foster Friess, make Friess donate all that money himself directly to Santorum and not hiding behind PACs. Make them own each other.
What is wrong with one $25 or $50 donation from either? This limits the media power, and the lies.

Problem is they feel the same way you do about limiting how to spend their money. Why is your money any better than theirs? Love of money does not discriminate. Would limiting both be compromise?
If one has have enough wealth, they could easily replace the Dominion agenda with their own. Then, what problem have you solved. It is still influence peddling.
No problem is fixed. Business as usual. Take everybody out of the equation, or leave it alone.
It’s a tough job, but he’s a good choice.
Pete is the best pick for this crucial position.
I’ve liked this gentleman all the way back to when he was just starting out in NYC in the late 90’s as a young pollster for Rudy Giuliani. Solid hands on political consulting, media and tech experience. This is an outstanding rebuilding move on Chairman Whitbeck’s part. Second decisive needed decision made in his short tenure.
Taking the money out of politics will also take the establishment out of politics. The establishment candidate is nothing more than the “big money” candidate.
Which Republican Presidential candidate these days can say that they came from a broken home, with nothing, and rose to the title of President? You cannot be stupid and accomplish that. Those who think one can may be the stupid one.
Could any Bush or Romney type be where they are without their family, money, and connections? Which type candidate better understands all Americans? One with rich parents and connections who probably never worked a day in their life? Or, one who had to start out in the negative column with no help?
The answer is obvious.
This is exactly the reason Whitbeck is the right man for the job. He quickly pinpoints problems and strengths and has the backbone to act quickly to reshuffle things so they work properly. What a brilliant move!
