Senate Dems— James Abrenio of Fairfax, Sean Kumar of Alexandria
Senate GOP— Marvin Gilliam of Bristol, Richard Harrell of South Boston
House Dems—Greta J. Harris of Richmond Brandon, Christopher Hutchins of Virginia Beach
House GOP—Jose Feliciano of Fredericksburg, Mackenzie K. Babichenko of Mechanicsville
Of this group 4 are white, 2 are Black, 1 Asian and 1 of mixed race. One is Hispanic. Only 2 are women. Four are Democrats and four are Republican.
Three members are under 40, one is 40-49, one is 50-59, two are 60 to 69 and one is over 70.
It’s a fairly wealthy group with 3 having an income of $100,000 to $200,000 and 5 making more than $200,000 per year.
Can’t wait to see what they come up with. Their work to redistrict the House of Delegates, the State Senate, and Congressional districts, will begin when the 2020 census is released. The Census Bureau is hoping that date will be April 1, 2021.
