Park View High school in Loudoun County has had somewhere between 8 and 12 (perhaps more) fentanyl overdoses in a three week period in October and early November. Four of overdoses were on school property and three had to be resuscitated the CPR.
The Principal of the school, Jason Jefferson, neglected to inform the school’s parents of the overdoses for 20 days.
Governor Youngkin immediately issued an Executive Order to Prevent Student Overdoses and Require Prompt Parental Notification. It says, among other things:
“The order directs the Virginia Department of Education to issue guidance ensuring school divisions notify all parents of school-connected overdoses within 24 hours, work closely with law enforcement to prevent overdoses, and enhance student education about the dangers of abusing drugs.”
The entire Executive Order can be found here.

Our school system in Loudoun sucks. Let’s hope the voters wipe these school board losers off the political map next week.
the loudoun county school system and board has serious problems.
they have made national news several times.
I only wonder have many other things have been hidden from the parents and the community?
