Whenever I have the opportunity to take my family to a new Virginia destination, I am ALWAYS impressed at how stunningly beautiful this state is.
This time, my family and I went to the Shenandoah National Park over the weekend and went on a hike to see the falls at Dark Hollow. If you haven’t done this before, you really should try to make it. The sights on this hike alone are worth the whole tip.
More information on the hike details (where to find it, what to expect) can be found at EveryTrail.com. It’s classified as a “moderate” difficulty hike due to the steep steps in a few spots, but just about anyone can do this one. If you’re out of shape you might need to rest a couple of times, but it’s only 1.5 miles round trip. Just Do It!
