What are you hearing about the polls? Big turnout? Or has rain put a damper on turnout? If so, who benefits from that? What are you seeing and hearing? Please put your thoughts and observations in the comment section below.
Overall it looks like a good turnout in Virginia despite the rain. Loudoun’s turnout is much higher than it was in the last mid-term election, 2014.
My small precinct in Lovettsville is having a big turnout. There were long lines at rush hour, short lines mid-morning with over a thousand voters by 11:00. That’s amazing!
High turnout was also seen in Ashburn. In Caroline county Republicans voted early, during rush hour, Democrats began to show up mid-morning. Republicans are expected to show up again during this evening’s rush hour. I wonder if that’s because Republicans have jobs they need to work around?
From a friend on Facebook, “Massive turnout at Brown’s Store, Culpeper’s largest Republican precinct. Nearly 500 votes before 9am”. Wow!
If you haven’t voted, please do. Polls in Virginia are open until 7:00. If you are in line by 7:00 you will be allowed to vote.
