Justice Scalia’s Twelve Best Quotes in his Dissent Opinion on Gay Marriage

Justice Antonin Scalia is very upset and very concerned about the Court’s ruling today overturning the will of people in 27 states and making gay marriage the law of the land whether we like it or not.  Read the twelve best parts of his dissent opinion here.  My personal favorite is him calling the ruling a naked claim of power, “A system of government that makes the People subordinate to a committee of nine unelected lawyers does not deserve to be called a democracy.”  Ouch.  Read all of the Scalia quotes, they’re very good.  More from the four dissenting judges here.
