A group called the Front Royal Independent Business Alliance has scheduled a “candidate forum” for all Front Royal Town Council and Mayoral candidates for tonight October 30. However it seems the FRIBA neglected to tell the GOP candidates about this candidate forum until only a few days ago. It should be noted that those who are in charge of the FRIBA are supporters of Tom Eshelman for Mayor, and Walter Mabe/Glenn Wood for Town Council.
Your Republican conservative candidates are Lori Cockrell for Mayor. With Wayne Sealock, and Melissa DeDemonico-Payne running for Town Council.
Zoning and growth are the 2 biggest issues in this campaign. Your conservative Republican candidates are doing their best to ensure that Front Royal does not become Gainesville West. Where those led by the FRIBA want to turn Front Royal into a ghetto that they can profit off of.
As of October 28, over 7,000 people have voted in Warren County, and the FRIBA candidates have done little traditional campaigning (aka door to door). Now that they see they are about to lose, the FRIBA wants to pull an October Surprise.
I urge all conservative Republicans to reject the dirty tactics of the FRIBA and vote for Lori Athey-Cockrell for Mayor and, Wayne Sealock, and Melissa DeDemonico-Payne for Town Council.
