The Commonwealth of Virginia is number one in many things, including our history. Who doesn’t love Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown? More Presidents were born in Virginia than any other state. Eight Presidents have called Virginia home. Even the President of Texas, Sam Houston, was a Virginian.
With all the LOVE signs around Virginia, we certainly take great pride in our state.
Virginia has more than its share of breweries and wineries. There are 100 breweries across the state and and 230 wineries. Loudoun county alone has 44 wineries.
Virginia is well known for music and outdoor concerts. Country music was first recorded in Bristol and the Crooked Road is where Blue Grass began.
Virginia is second to none for bird watching with over 400 species in state.
No state has older and better colleges than Virginia, schools like William and Mary, University of Virginia, and Virginia Tech. Charlottesville has been voted the best college town in America.
