One of the most hotly contested races in the North Shenandoah Valley is the Frederick County At-Large Seat between incumbent Brian Hester, Chris Davey, and Dianna Klein. Mr. Hester, the incumbent, has been endorsed by the Frederick County Democrat Party. See above. During Mr. Hester’s past term, he has voted to mask our kids (Mr. Hester actually made the motion at the January 2022 meeting to keep our kids masked), he has voted against parents time and time again, and for all his talk about how others are extreme, it seems that the only extremist in the room is Mr. Hester himself. Mr. Hester’s motion to keep our kids masked flew in the face of Governor Youngkin’s Executive Order. Mr. Hester is the sole reason your kids were masked longer than necessary. And now he wants to represent the Educationists for another 4 years on the Frederick County School Board?
So now who to vote for among the other 2. Chris Davey is a fine man, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know him over the past 2 years. At one time, I was leaning towards endorsing Mr. Davey. However I can no longer explain to you why Chris is running and he seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth. I can tell you that Dianna Klein has been out there talking to voters, she has been pushing a conservative agenda by wanting to make sure that parents know what is happening in the schools. Dianna Klein is a hard working young lady who was a pilot in the military, and is now a commercial pilot. Dianna Klein is a young lady who believes in “Bringing Power Back to Parents”, by improving transparency. She’s concerned about spending in the FCPS budget, and says that we need more details regarding spending in the School Budget.
I can find flaws in pretty much every human being I’ve ever met. However looking at the resume of this amazing young lady, and having talked to her on many occasions, I can honestly say that Ms. Klein is one of the most amazing candidates for local public office that I’ve ever met. Much better than Mr. Hester, who is a tool of the Frederick County Democrat Party and has received their endorsement in recent weeks. If you want a go along get along School Board Member who is supported by the Educationists, then support Brian Hester. If you want someone who will kick tail and take names and stand up for our kids, then the right choice is Dianna Klein for School Board.
