Massanutten Patriots Tea Party and Harrisonburg/Rockingham First Friday announce a Candidate Forum
The Massanutten Patriots Tea Party and Harrisonburg/Rockingham First Friday Group announce that they will hold a Candidates Forum for the candidates who seek the Republican nomination for the House of Delegates seat to be vacated by incumbent Steve Landes.
The Forum will be held on Friday, April 12th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Rockingham County Administration Center, 20 East Gay Street, Harrisonburg. The Forum will be moderated by 6th Congressional District Vice Chair John Massoud.
Recently, Delegate Landes announced he will not be returning to the General Assembly as the Delegate of House District 25.
Three candidates have filed qualifying documents with the Republican Party to contend for the nomination. The Candidates Forum will afford the candidates an opportunity to present their views to the public and the area news media.
The candidates who have been invited are:
Richard Fox is a fifth-generation farmer from Albemarle. He is the owner of Roslyn Farm, a working cattle farm and Bed and Breakfast in Crozet.
Marshall Pattie, a professor of Management at JMU, is a Supervisor on the Augusta County Board of Supervisors. He has held that office since 2012.
Chris Runion, a Bridgewater native, is the president of Eddie Edwards Signs.
