Our favorite clown – Matt Colt Hall, is at it again – trying to run movement conservatives out of the GOP. Mr. Colt Hall, for those of you who may not remember, is the same blowhard RINO who insulted every Scott Sayre/Cynthia Dunbar supporter by stating they were dragged in from their far right churches. Quite frankly, we all have better things to do than to debate issues with the likes of Mr. Colt Hall. However he does represent a part of the Party, so his bizarre allegations must be dealt with.
1st off, Mr. Colt Hall states and I quote that “Trump is not the ideal President”. Let us see here, Trump has introduced and helped pass the most significant piece of legislation in the past 100 years (the 2018 Tax Reform Package) which killed off the individual mandate for Obama Care, opened up drilling in ANWR, and has given us literally full employment. Trump helped end a 60 year old standoff in Korea, and has pretty much killed off ISIS. All this in less than 2 years. What more does Mr. Colt Hall expect?
For the record, Mr. Colt Hall is supporting someone who thinks that President Trump is an “infection on the national party”. Mr. Colt Hall and Ms. Sophia Nelson (Matt Colt Hall’s latest foolish hero of the week) don’t seem to get that President Donald Trump was a protest candidate against the same GOP establishment who had not represented the American people over the past several decades.
2nd – Mr. Colt Hall states that anyone who believes that others are inferior to them based on either race or religion must be removed from the party. Being a non white, I agree that racism of any type must be eradicated. However, I don’t see Mr. Burgos being a racist. Mr. Burgos may say things that I don’t agree with – however he’s not a racist. Quite frankly there is not a lot of racism in our party. I can name a couple of exceptions (one of them rather close to Mr. Colt Hall who he has never called out for being a racist) And Jason Kessler is not a Republican. Mr. Kessler is a socialist at heart. Mr. Colt Hall really needs to understand the difference between being a socialist and being a conservative.
3rd – Corey Stewart is not a political neophyte. Mr. Stewart is a rather adept retail politician who is the Chair of the Board of Supervisors for one of the largest locales in the Commonwealth. And in Mr. Stewart’s own home, the “white race” is a minority, and Mr. Stewart is easily re-elected each time he runs. If you don’t like Corey Stewart that is your right and prerogative. But to call Corey Stewart a political neophyte is dishonest at best.
According to Mr. Colt Hall – anyone who disagrees with him is either “alt right” or a “religious extremist”. I go to one of the “far right wing churches which Mr. Colt Hall and John Fredericks have demonized, and I can say 1st hand that there are no alt right lunatics who attend my church. To the contrary, the finest people I have ever met in my adult life attend my church (Restoration Fellowship Church Strasburg Virginia). In fact, our pastor Jay Ahlemann publicly invited Congressman Elect Ben Cline to speak to the congregation.
Mr. Colt Hall says that all good moderates need to oppose movement conservatives at every turn. This statement shows just what is wrong with his section of the party. We are losing elections because people like Colt Hall sit on their rumps and do nothing to improve voter turnout. We are losing elections because people like Colt Hall are not out there knocking on doors or making phone calls or organizing volunteers. Movement conservatives like those who Mr. Colt Hall consistently demonizes are the ones who do the most work, while the Colt Hall’s sit around on their derrieres not lifting a finger.
I agree that the RPV needs a lot of work. I am hopeful that Mr. Jack Wilson is the right man for the job. To rebuild the Republican party, we need to rebuild the party from the precinct level on up. We need less Colt Hall’s and more like Randy Gilbert Shenandoah County GOP Chair who has done an amazing job getting Committee members involved and working at voter registration. We need more people like Jack Morgan of Operation RED getting adults registered to vote.
Quite frankly we need 85 more GOP votes per precinct statewide to win elections in Virginia, and if we did what Matt Colt Hall wants us to do, that number would go from an additional 85 votes per precinct to 150 votes per precinct. This is going to be a tough road to climb – and cannot be done by wannabe political consultants like Mr. Colt Hall who have never done anything to ever help a Republican candidate win anything in their lives. Insulting your hardest workers is a really stupid way to win elections Mr. Colt Hall. And quoting and supporting an opponent of the greatest president since George Washington isn’t much brighter.
Enough said.
