Biden Starts His Demagoguery in Virginia
On Tuesday President Joe Biden crossed the Potomac River to attend a campaign rally here in Virginia. He wasted no time in making a fool of himself, opening with, “Hello Virginia … and the real governor, Terry McAuliffe!” He was referring to Democrat Terry McAuliffe, who was defeated by Glenn Youngkin in 2021.
Biden may be senile, but he should remember that campaign. In fact, he may have been one of the reasons McAuliffe lost. Biden carried Virginia in 2020 election, but by 2021, Virginians already disapproved of the job he was doing as President. He therefore was probably a drag on McAuliffe’s coattails.
He came to Virginia a couple times to help McAuliffe. At one rally in northern Virginia Biden told the crowd, “Just remember this: I ran against Donald Trump, and Terry is running against an acolyte of Donald Trump.” He reminded the crowd that extremism can “come in a smile and a fleece vest.” A reference to Youngkin.
So, Biden’s remark yesterday got a lot of attention. People have to wonder, is Joe Biden an election denier? Does Biden not remember who was elected Governor of Virgnia in 2021? Was he just trying to tell a joke?
My guess it was just an odd joke, told by an odd man, a man ready for the old folk’s home. I say that because he didn’t preface the statement with his usual line, “No joke”, so he probably meant it as a joke.
However, it is understandable that people might wonder. Biden is a man that is often lost, often confused, and has been known to shake hands with people that aren’t there and introduce people who are dead. So, the idea that he may not know who the Governor of Virginia is seems like a reasonable assumption.
But it was probably a joke because when he delivered the line, he had a goofy half smile on his face. So, I think we have to conclude that he was just joshing.
I do think it is an odd thing to joke about especially since Biden is trying to run on protecting democracy. He plans on running against the deplorable “election deniers” and yet finds the subject kind of funny, and a source for comedy.
President Biden came to Virginia to give us a glimpse or foretaste of his pitch this election, and its dark and pathetic.
Yesterday he pulled out his trump card, which is the issue of abortion, this is a divisive issue no doubt, but the pro-choice Catholic Biden hopes it will save him. That’s right divide and conquer.
Ironically, Virginia is a state without any real restriction to abortion. So why come to Virginia and tout the issue? Well, he is thinking of a national television audience, and is practicing his delivery. And anyway, the states with real restrictions on abortion wouldn’t vote for him so no need to campaign there.
I must say it seems to me that this is such a letdown. Biden ran on the desire to “save the soul of the country” He also sought to “unite the country.” But these have been 3 rough years for Biden. Starting with the disgraceful pullout of our troops in Afghanistan, where we left Americans behind, and we left Afghan allies behind only and predictably, to be slaughtered by the Taliban. He reversed Trump immigration policies and opened our southern border open. Millions of people and tons of drugs poured in.
It also strikes me as unpresidential, to run on abortion. The President is the most powerful person in the world. The President has great influence over the issues of war and peace, trade, and poverty. The President has the ability to allocate billions of dollars, and no doubt to help alter the course of history. The President has the “bully pulpit” as Teddy Roosevelt called it, the power to inspire and promote great things.
Keeping in mind all that potential good that can be done, no President should be talking about the issue of abortion. And if a President is talking about abortion the country is probably in decline. I don’t believe a great country would be electing a President based on this issue.
But what does Biden have to talk about? On the home front Biden’s economic policy has stunted our growth. He initiated massive spending, which led to high inflation. He opened our borders, flooding our cities, and our hospitals with migrants, costing billions of dollars.
His foreign policy is confusing. We have released money to Iran, they in turn send money to Hamas who attacked Israel. We support Israel, and their war against Hamas but Biden has warned them about overreacting and sought to tie their hands. He called Saudi Arabia a pariah state but went to them to plead for more oil production. Biden wants to end drilling is America, so he needs help from a “pariah” state.
President Lincoln said America was man’s last best hope on earth, Roosevelt promised that the only thing we had to fear was fear itself, Kennedy promised to get America moving again, Reagan envisioned a world free nuclear weapon.
What is Biden running on? His record, no. It seems you should vote for him because he will protect the right of a mother to kill her unborn child up to the moment of birth.
I can’t think of anything more pathetic than that.

It would seem that the Pope supported Biden on abortion in 2021. Biden had a face to face meeting with the Pope while at an economic summit in Italy back then about the attempt by American Bishops or Cardinals to stop Biden from taking communion due to his stance on abortion. Also, about 2 years ago a Bishop or Cardinal was passed over for promotion after trying to stop Pelosi from doing the same. I get my Bishops and Cardinals mixed up.
So, exactly what did Pelosi and Biden, both claiming to be devout Catholics, do in exchange for the support of the Pope? Somebody paid dearly for that support I’d bet.
The truth of the matter is that abortion has not been banned. It has simply been removed to the states where it belongs. If a state doesn’t want abortion, the people of that state vote against abortion. If a state wants abortion, the people of that state vote for abortion. If a woman wants an abortion in an anti-abortion state she suffers the inconvenience of crossing a state line to find an abortion clinic.
