Most divisive presidential speech ever
I have never been more shocked and horrified than by the divisive speech Joe Biden made last night, and on the steps of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. In doing so, he besmirched the hallowed ground of our Republic’s founding.
He basically said what Hillary Clinton said about Trump supporters – “you can put half of them into a basket of deplorables.” At least Sleepy Joe said, “not a majority of Republicans.”
How nice, but as one who worked for Trump’s election and re-election, but who vigorously opposed his “Stop the Steal” efforts and have PUBLICLY written that he and his followers who were behind the 1/6 Capitol assault need to be prosecuted (by the courts), I was truly offended by what Biden said.
In essence, he implied that anyone who still supports Trump or doesn’t speak out against him is a “threat to democracy.” He stigmatized me and millions of Americans, and echoed the leftist elitist stereotype of conservatives being violent and hateful. Disgusting!
It’s worst that Hillary’s basket of deplorables speech in 2016, worse than Obama commenting that conservatives who opposed him want to “cling to their bibles and guns.” That’s because this was an official presidential prime time speech.
I cannot recall a more divisive speech by an American president in my lifetime—and I have watched presidential speeches since Nixon.
He failed to call out the Leftist radicals and BLM backers who shot and killed police officers due to Obama’s war on the police in 2015, ran over parade goers in Wisconsin, and who rampaged across the nation in 2020, killing 19 and injuring hundreds in the name of that drug addicted thug George Floyd.
I guess if Democrats succeed in November and 2024, the red MAGA badge you see above will be required – at least for some of us Republicans deemed “semi-fascist” security threats by our government.
This is abuse of democracy – an effort to minimalize and marginalize nearly half the nation in order to deflect from one’s miserable record on the economy. It’s comparable to scapegoating people since you don’t have solutions to the pressing problems of the country – layoffs, shortages, falling stock prices, inflation.
We Republicans need to stop it by not lulling ourselves that there’s going to be a “Red Wave.” I urge all Republicans – whether you are MAGA or not – to get out and work like hell for our candidates in Virginia this fall. That means door knocking, phone calling and sending contributions.
If Biden wants a war against us, he’s got it and we’re ready to fight the real way – by throwing you Democrats out of office Nov. 8!
