Freedom isn’t free! Is a phrase we hear quite often when we’re talking about the honor and privilege we have to live in the United States of America, the honor and privilege which was indeed courtesy of the brave men and women who gave their lives protecting America and her citizens from the enemies who wish to rule us under ruthless and ungodly tyranny!
The exact tyranny that our Founding Fathers fought to declare our independence from the clutches of King George and the British and today we are still fighting such evil forces and the sad reality is that we will still be doing such until the end of the world as we know it.
That freedom my friends isn’t free as some had to answer the call to assure us the guarantee of being land of the free and home of the brave as if not one single man or woman answered such a call, then we’d all still be or back to being controlled by tyranny! Now think about that for a moment!
It’s one thing to draft the unwilling into battle against their will but it’s another for one to willing lay down their own life for someone else! It shows the example of loving others as we love ourselves!
Now there is a freedom that is free indeed! A freedom beyond the United States of America or any nation for that matter, a freedom beyond anything else this world has to offer, a freedom that is so powerful and desirable, it’s eternal!
The freedom from the bonds of sin! The freedom given through what Jesus Christ did on the cross by shedding His precious blood for the redemption of sins! The only one qualified to take upon the sins of the world! He who knew no sin became sin so that all may have eternal life and a relationship with Him.
Through Him is where one can find true life, liberty and happiness! Through Him one will find true freedom from the clutches of sin!
He defeated death at Golgotha and rose victorious three days later and one day soon He will appear at the Battle of Armageddon and wipe out every evil force on the planet with the sword that will proceed from His mouth!
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. – Galatians 5:1
