The world of politics is often an irritating quagmire of frustration, backstabbing, lies, damn lies, and statistics – but every once in a while a story comes along that lifts the spirits and makes you proud to meet and to know some of the movers and shakers in Virginia Politics.
Heather Cordasco is a long time Virginia activist and a former Williamsburg/James City School Board member who ran for House of Delegates in a special election in the 93rd District last year.
Last week, Heather donated one of her two kidneys to a mother-of-two in need. The following showed up on Facebook:

Well, Virginia – here’s your feel-good story of the day. A conservative activist in Virginia gave up one of her kidneys so that a mother could spend more fulling years with her children and family. How cool is that?
