UPDATE: 2/9 Yesterday at the College Republicans Convention in Richmond Howie Lind announced that he is running for Congress in the 10th district. His announcement came immediately after Eric Cantor urged the crowd to support Barbara Comstock for Congress. Cantor’s confirmation that Comstock is the establishment’s choice may be helpful to Howie’s candidacy.
Just heard from a very reliable source that Howie Lind will run for the Republican Congressional nomination in the 10th district to replace the retiring Frank Wolf. According to Mason Conservative, Delegate Marshall will also run. As former chairman of the 10th district, Howie Lind is well known, and well liked, among republicans in the district. The filing deadline is February 15th. The nominee will be chosen in a Firehouse Primary on April 26th.
