As someone who was fooled into who I supported, I was inside the Brown/Jarrell echo chamber during the 2018 race for 6th District Chair. I would like to shed light on the inner workings of two individuals who are masters at big half-truths and false narratives.
First, let me apologize to all those who supported Jennifer with my help for her quest of the Chairmanship in 2018. I was naive and gullible, being new to Virginia politics and for that, I will be forever sorry. Their unwillingness to tolerate a different point of view and her ongoing uncooperative nature has always been part of her plan. She even boasted that she got more votes than Congressman Cline and that she should’ve run for Congress since she would’ve beat him.
Inside the Brown & Jarrell Echo Chamber, it was all about winning, at all costs. They had a network of political hacks and willing members to come up with plans to disgrace Scott Sayre. When I was told to attack his wife I refused. Jennifer’s view was if she could not win your vote, we made it so intolerable that many would stay home. She attracted many people unsatisfied with our prior Chairman Scott Sayre, many of who didn’t even know him, and fueled that with misinformation and half-truths.
Working inside the echo chamber the atmosphere of fighting the swamp, overcoming the mistakes of the past, saving the 6th — a noble cause of restoring harmony and peace in the 6th. No task was too dirty to take on as I learned – it was all for the cause of ridding the 6th of the Sayre and his allies.
After her success, Jennifer even more fervently believed her own story. She made no attempt to get along with the majority of her committee. She networked with other elected officials and maneuvered her way into influencing elections, particularly the race in for the 24th Delegate, won by Ronnie Campbell by one-vote.
After the 24th Primary it was noted that Roger Jarrell stated he had to hand in his mother’s ballot, an illegal act. Roger went around threatening people if they brought up the fact that he admitted he handed in his mother’s vote. Handing in another person’s ballot is illegal as Roger was not an election officer. This election was followed by the public shredding of ballots with Jennifer holding the bag of any hope of election transparency.
My disillusionment came during Ronnie Campbell election debacle witnessing the background work Jennifer and her fiancee Roger Jarrell did behind the scenes. They offered deals to support candidates if they helped overthrow unit Chairs with whom she disagreed. Unit Chairmen that we the people have elected, all because they did not bow down to Chairwoman Brown’s dictatorial authoritarian leadership. If you did not agree with Chairman Brown you were purged even from your local unit leadership positions and attacked by her underlings on social media.
I realized that Jennifer is out for Jennifer. She only promotes herself and not the 6th District Republicans. Politicians make big mistakes when they think it is about them. It is easy to see through after the fact. Using the 2A movement, and the taking credit for the work of others in the victory in Staunton, working with a coalition of identity groups. Then having a meltdown at the Augusta Mass Meeting. Jennifer uses the tactics of intimidation, and the Judicial System from cease & desist letters, orders of protection, and $300,000 lawsuits.
Jennifer will use any means necessary to silence anyone who criticizes her. She has been drinking her own kool-aid and we’ve been paying the price in lack of unity, despite the fact that she campaigned on unity.
The day after the 2018 6th District convention they were busy making an enemy list of people to continue to attack. She never desired unity of any kind. I urge the Delegates of the 6th to look behind the myth of Jennifer.
