Iowa Electronic Market Predictions from the University of Iowa have been good predictors of election winners for years. Currently they give Democrats a 70% chance of winning the White House.
They were also good at predicting who would be the nominees, see those predictions here.
The Cook Political Report gives 304 electoral votes to Hillary and 190 to Trump with 44 tossups. Virginia leans blue in this one.
The website 270towin.com shows Democrats with 217 electoral votes and Trump with 191 and 130 undecided. Virginia is a tossup.
RealClearPolitics.com, one of my favorite sites, looks at all the polling and comes up with 194 electoral votes for Hillary and 164 for Trump. They have 14 tossup states, including Virginia. At their site you can play with the map to figure out a way to the White House for Trump.
The Larry Sabato’s Center for politics at the University of Virginia is predicting a Democrat win Their predictions have Virginia leaning blue. Sabato also handicaps candidates for Vice President here. This is Sabato’s map without any tossups:
Clearly the Democrats have a big advantage in this election. If we’re going to beat Hillary we need a united party. I hope Trump has a plan to unite Republicans. Without that, we’ll soon be saying Madame President.
