Laws with vague definitions designed to murder freedom on a governmental whim.
Proving that it takes very little for the world’s oligarchs, technocratic and managerial bigwigs, and ruling class to get their knickers in a knot, two elections in a row have produced screeching, unhinged shock and horror from Davos to Washington, London, and beyond. These followed the resounding victory of a new conservative government in New Zealand in October that saw a former airline executive, Christopher Luxon, become the Primer Minister, replacing the unpopular “social democrat” PM Jacinda Ardern and her party.
Two weeks ago, a 53-year-old economist and author, Javier Milei, won Argentina’s presidential election by defeating the incumbent party’s candidate in a stunning election win. Depending on whom you read, he’s either a “libertarian firebrand,” a “far-right, bombastic anti-establishment” politician, or a “far-right populist,” or – you knew it was coming – “Argentina’s Donald Trump.” Much of the world’s media barely mentioned that Argentina’s economy is in free fall, with one of the highest inflation rates in the world, along with skyrocketing poverty. Mr. Milei just voiced the truth.
If this wasn’t bad enough, the world woke up Sunday morning to find that Geert Wilders’s Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) won a smashing victory in the Netherlands, overturning the establishment apple cart. Like Mr. Milei the week before, Mr. Wilders has been called every name under the sun. “Far right” and the “Dutch Donald Trump” are big favorites. But to be called Prime Minister, his now dominant party must form a coalition government. Nonetheless, it’s a sweet victory for the 60-year-old who has spent decades building and leading the PVV.
Geert Wilders has been the canary in the coal mine for “free speech” and “freedom” in the Western World for more than two decades. Over that time, I’ve written several articles on his three trials for essentially hate speech violations – laws with vague definitions designed to murder freedom on a governmental whim.
The Dutch Parliamentarian, during his famous defense of freedom of speech (read full text here), faced sanctions and jail for “hate speech” and inciting racism for comments he made about violent Moroccan immigrants in the Netherlands in 2011.
“The lights are going out all over Europe. All over the continent where our culture flourished and where man created freedom, prosperity and civilization. Everywhere the foundation of the West is under attack.” (Mr. Wilders was paraphrasing the famous quote of Sir Edward Grey as the First World War descended over Europe.)
Time has proved Mr. Wilder to be a prophet, not a radical. A truth-teller, not a vile, contemptuous member of a self-appointed global elite engineering the dismantling of our civilization to be replaced with a technocratic prison for both the body and soul, where we will “own nothing and be happy.”
The questions that these elections raise seem obvious. Worldwide, are regular citizens starting to get it? Do they want to turn over their core freedoms to a handful of men and women who actually disdain having elections in the first place? Do they want barbarism and brute rule to replace civilization and freedom?
In Argentina, candidate Milei was very straightforward. He believes in freedom. You can’t spend your way to prosperity – you must produce your way to prosperity. Soon-to-be President Milei has promised a series of reforms – immediately labeled “radical” by the world media – that include cutting public spending by 15 percent, abolishing Argentia’s central bank, and switching the gravely devalued peso to the US dollar. He has also stacked out conservative policies on social issues and climate change.
Likewise, in the Netherlands – the second-largest exporter of food in the world after the US -where recently the government declared war on Dutch farmers and dairies in the name of supposed climate change – the voters have changed course.
During the election, Mr. Wilders tapped down – without abandoning – his biting anti-immigrant message to broaden his reach and emphasize addressing the economy and cost of living through tax cuts and tackling the housing shortages. His platform still calls for a referendum on leaving the EU, however, ending asylum for illegal immigrants and deporting immigrant felons. During his remarks after Wednesday’s election, he vowed that the PVV would not override Dutch laws or the constitution that “enshrines freedom of religion and expression.”
Whatever else these elections point to, two things seem clear. First, brave men and women who simply and plainly state the truth can still make a difference. Courageous truth-tellers will be vilified in the corporate press, cursed, and taken to court in lawfare. But the truth never gives up.
These men speak to and for ordinary people about living and maintaining an extraordinary life in freedom. Nations, borders, and economic order may not mean anything to the ruling class, but they do to those who have to live in them.
Second, average folks are beginning to see very clearly that the West, at least, is being run by really awful people. They don’t have their citizen’s best interests at heart. They have their interests – power and money – on their minds. To them, freedom of expression, thought, and action is an anathema to be rooted out and destroyed. It’s hard to be a king or queen without subjects.
Predicting political outcomes a year out is always dangerous. But here in the US, the same temperament and recognition of danger seems afoot. Washington has never been so out of touch with average Americans. Antagonistic even. The establishment ruling class seems almost daring the “little people” to revolt.
My money is on the little folks.

I’d love to move to the right. But Trump is not the right, he is not Republican, and certainly not conservative, by no means did he keep the important promises from his first term. He did not end Obamacare as promised, and, after Republicans fund raised to end Obamacare for 7 years, along with the Trump promise, we still have Obamacare. And now, Trump want to start the same lie again. Look, the Republicans , Democrats, Healthcare industry, drug companies, DO NOT WANT TO END OBAMACARE. And, Trump, he tried to put a coup and erase our democracy.
Regarding Trump, Biden, and the US Congress, and judicial system, Matthew 7:17-18,
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good. fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither. can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Trump did not end Obamacare as promised? You might want to look up the name “John McCain”
John McCain didn’t promise to end Obamacare, Donald John Trump and the Republican Party made that promise. And, what about the 2 others who voted with McCain to keep Obamacare? Do you even know who they were? In my opinion, the Obamacare vote was rigged. It was planned in advance that McCain, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins, would vote to keep Obamacare. The proof? Mitch McConnell would have have never have let there be a vote unless he knew the outcome was the one Republicans wanted. Actually, McCain and the other two took “one “for the party. K St., the drug companies, healthcare providers, special interest, they all paid Congress to keep Obamacare because they were raking in the loot with Obamacare. It’s all about the cabbage, nothing else. So, why didn’t Limbaugh tell you about the other two who did exactly as McCain and voted with the Democrats? It was all a planned, rigged, media circus act, for people like you. 😂
Best Wishes!
Yeah. Muckowski, turtle Romney and these rest of the GOP scumbags were there and will be there longer than Trump. A President cannot repeal a law unilaterally can he? You are correct about the useless nature of the GOP and the fact that its opposition is phony. The healthcare system drug companies etc are tremendous money makers and the Congress scum benefit… show me one of those turds who is not a millionaire. Most of all show me one who was not before they got there and isnt now.
You are a complete idiot if you think J 6 was a coup.
Attempted coup. Please explain the fake elector plot, and the Trump Georgia phone call after the vote recount and certification. But you are not willing to do that are you? What does one call it when a president attempts to stay in office based on unproven accusations? What was J 6 to you? A Halloween party of sorts? Why did Trump and Biden keep thousands of classified documents in their possession after leaving office? Was it to sell them for profit? If not that, then what? Why is it that Republicans do not want Hunter Biden’s testimony in public? Why are Republican’s blocking the SCOTUS vacation scandal investigation? Who is blocking an investigation into statements made by two sitting members of Congress (one now former) into sex orgies and drug use by members of Congress? And who is blocking the media from reporting on the free vacations that members of Congress accept, just like those free vacations that SCOTUS accepts?
It’s all crooked.
