On Saturday, April 5th, Loudoun County Republican Committee will hold its second annual Spring Country Jamboree. The event will held at the Historic Bush Tabernacle in Purcellville, 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Country Singer Kenney Ray Horton, US Navy, will perform. There will also be BBQ along with local wines and beer. Some of our elected officials will be competing in a Corn Hole contest and many people will be competing in the pie and cake contest. It’s a fun evening!
Both Senate candidates are expected to attend as well as the 10th district candidates for Congress. (Might that include the elusive Rob Wasinger?) One of the evening highlights will be the straw polls for both Senate and Congress. Last year nearly 200 republicans voted in a similar straw poll. Senate Candidate Ed Gillespie easily won the straw poll at the recent State Central Committee meeting, making it important for Shak Hill to do well in the straw poll in Loudoun. If Shak doesn’t have a strong showing from Loudoun at the convention, it’s highly unlikely he would win the nomination for Senate. This straw poll will be the first indicator of how popular Shak is with Loudoun republican.
Come join the fun and vote in straw poll on Saturday! RSVP here.
Straw poll results will be reported on The Bull Elephant.
