John Massoud announced today that he is running for Chairman of the 6th District Republican Committee. He said, ”Getting President Trump and Congressman Ben Cline reelected will be my first priority and putting an end to the vitriol which has infected politics in the 6th Congressional District and making it a model for the rest of Virginia will be my second.”
“If we do this,” he said, ”we will be in a better position to fight for the real reasons we are in politics, promoting the Valley values of Faith, Family and Freedom.”
“For the past couple of years, the 6th Congressional District has seen drama and anger like no other region in the Commonwealth of Virginia. With this going on we have not been able to turn out voters as we should. We can do better, and to turn Virginia around, we must do better. The alternative will be to continue the slide towards having Virginia become California East.”
John Massoud is a lifelong Virginian. He is a member of the Strasburg Town Council, and Vice Chairman of the 6th Congressional District Republican Party and also is the former head of the Shenandoah County Constitutional Conservatives (Tea Party).
He is a businessman, currently the Vice President of Dulles Airport Taxi, a division of the Washington Flyer, and Vice President of Arlington Blue Top Cabs. He knows how to lead, organize and get things done.
He has also been very active politically as the Magisterial District Chair of the Strasburg GOP and the Vice Chairman of the Shenandoah County Republican Party. He received a commendation from the Shenandoah County Republican Women for being one of the best GOTV directors in Virginia.
John Massoud is not afraid to get his hands dirty doing the basic door to door work and will lead by example. (In Ben Cline’s Congressional campaign, he was publicly honored as being one of the hardest working volunteers in the entire 6th Congressional District). During his time as Strasburg Magisterial District GOP Chair, the percentage of the Republican vote rose from 61.1% GOP to 65.9% GOP for state and federal races and voter turnout percentage in the Town has improved significantly as well. He has put together a well organized team of volunteers in Strasburg and will work to do the same at the 6th Congressional District level.
He ended by saying, “In the spirit Ronald Reagan let us raise a banner of bold colors and no pale pastels, and in the spirit of Donald Trump, let us be better and do better than we ever have before. Let us together, Make the 6th District GOP Great Again.”
