On Christmas Eve, the New York Times published an excellent article entitled: ‘We Are Not Equipped to Deal with This’: Migrant Surge Overwhelms U.S. Border. The byline read, Officials are struggling to contend with the chaos at the U.S.-Mexico border as thousands of migrants arrive every day, trekking from the farthest reaches of the globe.
Most interesting were the article’s 1503 comments. Published figures show that 91% of Times’ readers are Democrats, so taken as a whole, their postings reflect the concerns of Democrats nationwide.
Here’s why that’s important: Democratic Times subscribers are fed up with open-borders immigration. They see it as a major, perhaps decisive issue undermining Democrats’ chances of victory in November.
Many of their comments were harshly critical of the immigrant surge. One pro-migrant commenter expressed disgust at his fellow Democrats’ hostile reactions to the immigrant surge: “This xenophobic comment section just cost Biden my vote. I won’t vote for Trump, but I’m sure not voting for this version of ‘liberals’ either.”
Residents of New York City expressed exhaustion at the flood of migrants pouring in. One Democrat wrote: “Biden will probably lose the election if substantive action isn’t taken real soon.” He continued, “Here in NYC we’re “drowning” in illegal immigrants, and the worsening financial repercussions are untenable.” Another New Yorker chimed in: “We are watching lawlessness on a grand scale here – exceedingly expensive too! – and it is getting clearer each day that it may well re-elect Donald Trump.” Another said he despises Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for his stance on abortion but understands why he sends illegals to other states, “. . . I live in NYC and I do not want any more migrants coming to my town.”
Migration is skyrocketing as the world discovers that the U.S. border is wide open to foreigners. People are swarming in from everywhere.
Someone pays the costly airfare for impoverished men to fly 8,000 miles from Sudan to enter the U.S. illegally. Those who pay intend to destabilize America.
Let’s stop attributing this crisis to ineptitude. It is not negligent, it is deliberate, and it is the greatest betrayal in U.S. history. The Department of Justice has sued Texas to prevent their national guardsmen from slowing the rapid flow of migrants into the heartland. Democrats intend to swamp every city in America with foreigners, fundamentally altering the nation’s demographic mix.
New York Times subscribers were blunt when criticizing the right to asylum. One wrote, “Asylum claims are now being used to fuel a general ‘right to migrate and cross all international borders.’” Another said that migrants enter the U.S. under the false pretext of asylum, saying the border crisis is “built on a lie.”
Biden immigrants go straight to welfare. They swamp our schools. They displace Americans from low-cost rentals and trailer parks. New York City taxpayers are forced to house disruptive aliens in posh luxury hotels.
Foreigners take priority over our own. In New York City, a 95-year-old Korean War veteran was evicted to make way for migrants. In California, Gov. Gavin Newsom extended Medi-Cal benefits to 750,000 foreign migrants; they get free medical benefits while 26 million Americans have no health insurance at all. When it comes to government services, Americans are the forgotten people.
Voters have shifted dramatically against immigration, making a Republican wave election a distinct likelihood. Both parties now agree that Biden’s open borders policy is a disaster. People are fed up and won’t take it much longer.

I just love it when BAR Attorneys chime in with their self-serving opinions. Especially the ones who are or were members of some legislative body where they can pass all kinds of unlawful acts to screw over honest Americans.
There is something deliciously ironic about the whole concept of sanctuary cities. The first people in need of sanctuary up here in the states were Salvadorans, Guatemalans, and Nicaraguans fleeing their countries because of all the meddling the Reagan/Bush crowd engaged in down there back in the 80s. That’s when all the luminaries in D.C. decided to put sanctuary city policies in place to cover their rotten asses for all the misery they created in nearby foreign lands. The Republicans created the need, and the policies, and afterwards, Democrats fully embraced sanctuary cities because they figured people from central and South America were natural Democrat voters.
Now Republican border states are being invaded by giant hordes of “asylum seekers” and creating all kinds of chaos down there. And as fast as they can, those border states are shipping as many of the invaders as they can off to Democrat sanctuary cities all over the country, creating chaos out there.
There is a silver lining in all the chaos. There is a distinct possibility that for the first time in our history, the people will finally wake up and scream at the Republicans and the Democrats; “You both suck! You’re just a giant gang of mendacious thugs! We’re not voting for any of you!”
And then 90% of the electorate will stop banging their heads against that same old brick wall, and they will stay home on election day. When you withhold your consent to be ruled by authoritarian goons, the goons slither away into the darkness.
If that happens, we will have to change the name from “Election Day” to “Independence Day 2.0” How glorious it would be!
Unfortunately, I don’t see that much enlightenment out there. Problem, reaction, solution is a concept that precious few seem to be familiar with. So come this November, all the human livestock in America will likely herd themselves into a voting booth some place, and once again, they will consent to being milked, sheared and slaughtered by their owners.
Honorable Senator Black,
As we all know Virginia not only is allowing illegal aliens to work as “independent contractors” but we have violations & legislation to confirm this.
Now in Business we have the Right to conduct business but only with compliance to Virginia Law. Virginia allows us to;
1) be a sole proprietor
2) form an LLC
3) form an S-Corp
4) form a partnership (but that will require an LLC or a S-Corp to be created with the State Corporation Commission)
Now being that illegal aliens are allowed to work as “independent contractors” and your astute knowledge of the law I have to humbly submit to you and ask these questions;
When a illegal alien operates as an “independent contractor “ vs Virginia Citizen
and the illegal alien hires another 15 illegal aliens (note is is against the law to hire illegal aliens) to help him frame or brick an apartment complex, say 9 Buildings that a substantial project and not one we are unaccustomed too her in Virginia;
Shouldn’t that illegal alien who is being paid as a “independent contractor” be required to obtain a Federal Employer Identification Number, a Virginia Employment Commission Account number, so as to be compliant with taxes with the Va Employment Compensation Act and keep payroll records?
If not then the illegal alien has privileges afforded him that the Virginia Citizen doesn’t.
*** Note the Virginia Citizen is required***
If these 15 illegal aliens are a partnership shouldn’t they also be required to form a legal partnership through Va’s State Corporation Commission as either an LLC or S-Corp?
***Note the Virginia Citizen is required by law***
Onto Workers Compensation (this is a doosy)
Virginia requires Workers Compensation for employers with 2 or more part time or full time employees.
A couple of things here;
1) The illegal alien signs a waiver with his Workers Comp Insurance so as a sole proprietor he would not be covered (ok with that) but shouldn’t the illegal alien be forming a legally registered partnership/LLC or S-Corp with his 15 “independent contractor” illegal aliens partners that he lawfully required to issue 1099’s for, or be keeping payroll records for his illegally hired illegal alien employees to have compliant wage records in case of an on the job injury or death for a valid worker’s comp claim to be filed with current Virginia Worker Compensation Commission required under law?
***Note the Virginia Citizen is required by law***
Still on Workers Comp here;
The Licensed Contractor which is licensed by the Department of Professional & Occupational Regulation overseen by The Va. Department of Commerce is also required under Virginia Law to carry General Liability & a Workers Compensation Policy by his insurer.
Now the State Licensed Contractor hires the illegal alien/“independent contractor” as a subcontractor to perform framing of those 9 apartments with his 15 illegal aliens, the State Licensed Contractor requires that the illegal alien/ “independent contractor” fill out an I-9, submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance AND a Certificate of Workers Comp Insurance from “independent contractors” insurance provider.
Now the illegal alien/ “independent contractor”
tells his State Licensed Contractor that he does not carry Workers Compensation Insurance (very expensive about 15 to 17% on gross payroll) and the State Licensed Contractor nevertheless hires the illegal alien/ “independent contractor” and deducts the rate he pays from the illegal alien/ “ independent contractors” pay.
Now me being a simple peasant;
At this point that State Licensed Contractor in effect is selling worker’s compensation insurance to the uninsured illegal alien/ “independent contractor” if so shouldn’t that be run through the books of the State Licensed Contractors Licensed insurance company? Or is the State Licensed Contractor “coercing/exploiting” the illegal alien“independent contractor” to give up some of his pay?
And furthermore shouldn’t the State Licensed Contractor have valid Payroll records of the illegal aliens the independent contractor illegally hired and if the State Licensed Contractor is deducting insurance premiums then are they operating as an illegal insurer?
All Employers are required to keep payroll records.
Now with the Virginia Employment Commission;
How many Independent Contractors are operating in Virginia ?
How many independent contractors have a VEC tax accountant number?
How many independent contractors are not compliant with the quarterly filling of form
Va-5?
How many illegal alien/ “independent contractors” have failed to file, refuse to file records with the VEC under Commissioner Carrie Roth?
How many charges of contumacy has Commissioner Roth brought before Virginia Courts against “independent contractors” for failure to comply with 8.01-413.1?
Now once again I humbly submit these questions to you on these problems for I lack the educational prowess of Senators Travis Hackworth & Bill DeSteph (Va. SB 121 General Assembly 2022)
You and I both know that this form of commerce/employment will foster much bigger issues like human trafficking, drug trafficking and potentially a National Security Risk.
Thank you for your time,
Simple man.
I am not a Democrat
I am not a Republican
I am a simple man, a working Virginian, a builder and believe me I know.
Glenn Youngkin signed SB 121 (look at all the Republican Senators & Delegates that supported this bill) in April 2022 this bill deregulated/ended the licensing requirements found in Statute 54.1-1100.
In December of 2022 Glenn Younkin’s PAC Spirit Of Virginia “accepted” a $30,000.00
contribution from James G Davis Construction Corporation (a Maryland Company) 🐟
I urge all here to contact your Senator & Delegate and ask them why they supported this bill. Also ask for the data that they have for them to make this educated decision.
This bill was designed & created because illegal aliens were being issued Safety Violations and fines by OSHA while performing construction as unlicensed subcontractors wait here is the kicker;
when the General Contractor who employed the unlicensed contractors (illegal aliens) was being audited by the Va Employment Commission the auditors were & still are classifying them as “bona-fide independent contractors”, can you say lawsuits bigger than the tobacco allotment buyouts. This was being done under McDonnell/Cuccinelli, McAuliffe/Herring and Northam/Herring.
During the McAuliffe Administration as part of the Employee Misclassification Task Force the policy of Interdepartmental Communication was implemented on July1st 2015. In January 2016 State Senator Bill DeSteph ( Builder & the Tidewater Home Builder’s Association Director brought forth SB483 this bill was to make it law to stop the interdepartmental communications. Yes folks he didn’t want OSHA notifying;
1) DPOR (overseen by Dept of Commerce) of detected unlicensed contracting
2) Va Department of Taxation ( no tax ID numbers)
3) Workers Compensation Commission (no certificate of insurance)
4) Va Employment Commission (no VEC account).
Virginia,
Department of Homeland Security Director Alejandro Mayorkas’s
Illegal Aliens are now Governor Younkin’s Independent Contractors.
Folks vote for Trump because he will implement a Mass Deportation of Glenn Younkin’s
“Independent Contractors”
Thanks to Senator Black 😉 for allowing me to post these truths and remember we don’t want Vietcong Sleeper Cells operating in Virginia’s underground economy as “independent contractors”. This makes for good conversation over a beer at American Legions as I do often.
PS think for one second;
How did McAuliffe know?
When did McAuliffe know?
I say he knew as early as February 2013, that is nine months before he was elected and it took him a 1 1/2 years to implement Interdepartmental Communication.
Oh yea and for Senator Mark Warner;
Warner is tasked with combating Employee Misclassification then why did he buddy up to state Senator Travis Hackworth (builder) know that SB121 would further exasperate employee misclassification and unleash an invasion of illegal aliens on the economic depressed economy of SouthWest Virginia & the New River Valley?
Shame on Travis!
Is Bongino right? He observed the influx of illegals will increase congressional representation for the democrats. The illegals will be counted in the next census even though they may not be citizens by then.
Col. Black was my last conservative state senator and likely to be my last forever . I miss you!
Yes they are counted. The Census bureau however, won’t disclose the number they estimate or count…
I am going to toot my own horn!
Toot Toot!!
I have been writing here for decades and clashed with the idiots at Bearing Drift about mass immigration. Shaun, Drive the Nativist our of MY Party Kenney and the rest of those turd birds..
Oh… they’ll tell you they were for immigration reform!!! That was an amnesty of huge proportions with some kind of bullcrap about a fine or some other crap… Oh boy Kenney and company… a massive amnesty sure would stop illegal immigration in the future…
Now… it is incredible that reality is overcoming bullish.t.. The press usually feeds crap eating liberals to the point that they parrot whatever crap they sell.. But even NYT readers are now up in arms over mass migration.
The NYT is partially owned by Carlos Slim… a Mexican telecom billionaire… he LOVEs illegal immigration.. The NY Times before he had to buy a large share to save them, would write articles about how mass migration is not good for the average person, especially the working class… And corporate advertisers are all for no border.
So here you are with immigration possible losing a #$%ing Democrat an election!!!
Reality is winning here.
D’MARCUS,
I love Virginia and her citizens, in Virginia we have 95 Counties, folks from all walks of life in Virginia.
I cannot help but be intrigued about the timing for the deregulation of contractor law in lieu of independent contractors combined with the Billions that were spent to install our new Fiber Optic High Speed internet.
It is said that it cost us $60,000.00 per mile.
Did the installation companies use “independent contractors” to dig those holes every 16’ to install the orange conduit/sleeves so as to circumvent employee taxes, FICA, Medicare and Workers Compensation Premiums?
It is said that Senator Mark Warner made his wealth in the late 80’s via cell phones/communications. Senator Warner was instrumental in Virginia obtaining Billions from the Fed for this new form of Communication but as a Senator who IS involved on the national issues of fraud found in Employee Misclassification.
Now let’s look to other State infrastructure projects like Highview State Bike Trail Visitor Center in Prospect Va.
How about the NOVA Sports Entertainment facility that has “claims” of creating 30,000 jobs, yea right. It is tax dollars used to exploit illegal labor for profit.
Heck The Central Virginia Training School property sold for private residential & commercial development.
The training school alone screams of corruption. Our General Assembly dumps millions into “mental health” but we are going to close one property, sell it off and dump more money than taken in from the sale of that property to build or expand more somewhere else.
