Once again Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria is ranked by US New as the top school in Virginia and the 4th best high school in the country.
Looking at the list of other top ranked Northern Virginia high schools, money matters. The richer neighborhoods have the best schools. Perhaps it’s genetic and the educational environment, smarter and better educated parents may have smarter kids who grow up in an environment where education is very important. In the high schools it’s smart kids in, smart kids out. It’s not the schools, it’s the parents.
