Biden Lies Vary in Degree Ranging from funny Tall Tales to Blatant Dishonesty. And some of His Lies Suggest That He is Delusional.
Joe Biden told a few lies over the last two weeks. And in reviewing the lies, and giving it some thought, I have concluded that his lies should be broken up into a couple categories. Some of the lies are serious and some are simply tall tales, which are still lies, but less harmful.
Biden has been lying for decades, heck I am old enough to remember the 1988 Presidential campaign, when Biden quoted, without attribution, the British socialist Labour leader Neil Kinnock word for word. Funny thing about that is that Kinnock gave some biographical information about himself in a speech, and Biden repeated a passage from the speech, even though it didn’t apply to him. Kinnock rhetorically asked, “Why is it that I am the first member of my family to go to college.” Biden used the same line, even though he wasn’t the first member of his family to go to college.
Why does Biden still stick to the erroneous claim that he is the “first member of my family to go to college.” It’s very simple – Neil Kinnock said so.
But in the interest of space, I will not go back to last century, I will just look at his lies from the last two weeks.
This week, on Tuesday in Florida, Biden told a crowd that he “used to drive an 18-wheeler.” Even a CNN fact checker concluded that there is no evidence to substantiate the claim. It is probably harmless tall tale. My guess is that like the “first member of my family to go to college.” lie, he has told this tale for so long that at this point he really believes it. No doubt Biden the politician at some point convinced himself of this detail in his resume and started telling it to audiences. The audience liked it, and the media gave him a pass. So, Biden kept the line.
Biden like all politicians desire to connect with the common man, and perhaps taking some time driving a big commercial truck can help. Who doesn’t admire someone who once drove an 18-wheeler? Imagine how difficult it must be to Parallel park a truck? That takes skill and nerves of steel, so maybe we can just call it a harmless lie.
Last week Biden claimed that his uncle, “Uncle Bosie”, a World War II pilot was shot down and his body was never recovered because according to Biden his body was most likely eaten by cannibals. It seems that at the time there was some instances of cannibalism taking place in New Guinea, where Biden believed the plane might have crashed. But it turns out, after further investigation by the Pentagon, the plane really crashed at sea, off the coast of New Guinea, way out of the reach of the cannibals.
I think we should cut Joe some slack on these lies, after all most families have some tall tales such as these. Unchecked stories that are passed down from generation to generation. I met a guy once who claimed that his great grandfather was scheduled to be on the Titanic, but his family changed their travel plans at the last minute. I met a guy who claimed that his great uncle made it to the major leagues and once struck out Babe Ruth. I had a neighbor that claimed that he was related to Clark Gable. And perhaps the most improbable of all of the tall tales that I’ve heard, I met a woman once, who was strikingly beautiful, who claimed that she was a direct descendant of Abraham Lincoln’s. While she did have some height to her, like Lincoln, I looked at her pretty face and concluded that she was not even remotely related to old Abe. She was probably no more related to Lincoln then Elizabeth Warren is to Sitting Bull.
Well, Biden’s tall tale is that his uncle was eaten by cannibals. Should be a harmless enough of a lie, although the people in New Guinea may not be happy about Biden’s tale. But I don’t think it will get our country into a war. So, as they say no harm no foul.
On Tuesday, Biden went back to his hometown of Scranton and bragged that he ‘never’ made $400,000 a year. He told the audience, “I hope you’re all able to make $400,000. I never did.” Well, his Presidential salary is $400,000, so such a claim is a lie. In fairness he may not realize how much money he makes. Most every American knows their salary, but not lunch bucket Joe. He is probably fairly well insulated from the effects of Bidenflation. So maybe it’s just an innocent mistake. If you are wealthy, you probably don’t worry about money at the end of the month, indeed you might not even know how much money you started the month with.
On Wednesday Biden claimed that he inherited high inflation, he claimed that when he took office, “inflation was skyrocketing.” It is a lie; the truth is he inherited low inflation. According to the Bureau of Labor statistics in January of 2021, when Biden took office the inflation rate was 1.4 percent. The Feds target rate for inflation is 2 percent, today the inflation rate is 3.7 percent. Biden claims inflation is off its ‘high’, which took place when he was President of 9 percent to “near 3 percent” today. Biden didn’t acknowledge on Wednesday that Inflation has gone up for the last 3 straight months, and of course he is being generous to describe 3.7 percent as “near 3 percent.”
Biden lies about inflation, because his high spending policies caused it. He can’t concede that, so he has to make people believe that inflation was “skyrocketing” before he started his Keynesian (strike that, replace with Bernie Sanders like) spending spree. This a more serious lie than telling people that your uncle was eaten by cannibals. Inflation is one of the most serious issues, voters need to get facts. Biden gives them a lie. Democracy is undermined by lies.
He also claimed that he cut the deficit by over a trillion dollars. It’s a lie. He doesn’t mention that he wanted to spend 3 trillion on his “Build back better” spending spree in 2021. Fortunately, the orgy of spending died in Congress. The trillion dollars he claims he cut, he in fact didn’t. It was covid emergency money that expired with the end of the pandemic. A pandemic that ended with the vaccine, which came out when Trump was President.
Some of Biden’s lies I find humorous, and entertaining. Biden driving a truck. That’s funny. Biden being raised in the Puerto Rican community, in the Greek community in the black community. Biden’s claim that he is fascinated by “Persian culture” and how he spends a lot of time in Synagogues. That’s the stuff of good clean humor.
And I bet his uncle Bosie lived a charmed life. Well, that is up until the minute he was eaten by cannibals in New Guinea.
But Biden’s lies about inflation and the deficit is an insult the intelligence of the American people. These lies are attacks on our Democracy and the historical record.
And if Biden really believes that he inherited “Sky rocketing inflation” and that he cut the deficit by a trillion dollars then he is delusional and unfit to be President.

China joe as a leader of the free world? I think not. I guess it is a lie that he showered with his daughter as written in her diary. biden is his own spokesperson and it is quite evident he is a chronic pathological liar and cannot recognize fact from fiction. He is the selected resident, does not represent we the people, and is an embarrassment to our country. President Trump is being persecuted for no committed crimes and the J6ers are still imprisoned without a trial. That is not freedom.
There are feww commentators less worthy of our attention than ne’er do well, dropout David Shephard. Pick a better spokesperson for critcizing the leader of the free world.
